Great project and very easy to customize. I had a question and sent a mail in the middle of the night. Just a few minutes later I already had a reply with a tutorial including screenshot answering my question! The project comes with a tutorial on how to configure which makes it easy for noobs like me.

I downloaded the purchased Text Fireworks successfully, loaded the trial version of the plug in. The Text Fireworks file brings up a window on opening saying that it is Missing Font JP. but doesn’t give me an option to select a new font. Then when it opens, there is a big “X” across the scene because it is missing or can’t link to a file layer. I’ve have checked every file I can find, and cannot locate whichever layer this is, to make it go away. Help me find it!

1. Font used is: http://www.dafont.com/jp-hand-straight.font, but you can replace it with any font installed in your system (It’s covered in the included help file too)
2. I guess you must be missing the Trapcode plugin, or it is not properly registed, thats usually the case for the “X” sign.

Yes this file needs the “Trapcode Particular” plugin. Without it, no Fireworks will appear and so the project is useless. You can purchase it here:

I know it’s a bit expensive but it is useful in many particle projects.

So if I understand this correctly, you can remove the background to just get the fireworks and text fireworks and create an alpha channel to incorporate onto your own background?
Yes, this can be done! You can “solo” the fireworks scene and render with RGBA (video & alpha channel) and composite on your own background. Or, you can import your background in this project and replace the default! Thank you for your interest! Let me know if you’ll need any help. Cheers! Steve

can we choose to just have the firework that turns into a text, without the background and without the other fireworks?
Yes! You can turn off the background layers and also all the fireworks that you don’t need and render RGBA (video and alpha channel). But I feel it will not look as good as with the rest of the fireworks exploding at the sides… Let me know if you’ll need any help on this! Cheers! Steve

Do you have trapcode particular version 2 installed? Do you get a red cross over your preview? There is only one psd file in this item so it cant to be 14 missing files.
Try to download the file again in case there was a zip corruption during downloading. Go to your downloads section and hit the download button again.
