“Start” and “End” presets on several walking cycles (Calm, Heavy, and others) is not working properly. It makes the character look like they’re backing up.

Also, we would like to clarify one point that you may not know if you are using our product for the first time. We update our product regularly. And in addition to our own plans for the roadmap of the product, we also collect feedback from users and implement the most frequent requests or eliminate cases that users often encounter.

Before update 3.2, the presets were very different along with the current ones. It didn’t have that many presets or such a system for combining.

We often received requests regarding this and frequent difficulties, and based on this feedback, we completely redid all the animation presets and added new ones. In total, the package contains more than 1000 files of character animation presets that we physically made.

In addition to the huge amount of work, this is also a complex framework for animations, in which it had to be done in order to be able to combine many animations with each other. This also applies to presets “start” and “end”.

The release of this update with a new preset system gave much flexibility and convenience. But we understand that it is difficult to make such a volume of diverse animations the first time and take into account absolutely all cases, so this can have problems and we continue to collect feedback from users about such problems or new difficulties and also accept ideas for improvements. After that, we plan to refine and improve both the system and the presets themselves. Therefore, we will be very grateful to you if you can make our product better with your ideas and vision.

Hi there, is there any chance to rename the presets that we save?

Hi. Yes, you can certainly do it. You need to go to the folder where you installed the plugin and find the folder “AinTrailers-Assistant” there and go inside.

In the “Character-Presets” folder you can find the type of character you need and rename the necessary presets inside.

Custom presets for animations or emotions are located in the corresponding folders, where you can find the folder with the word “custom”.

The reset animation button doesnt seems to work

Hi. Please make sure you are using up-to-date versions of both the plugin and the character template. This works 100% as we fixed this thing in the last update.

However, if you are using the new version of the plugin with the old character template, then this will not work, just like using the old version of the plugin with the new character template, as it has different data structures.

I have a question: I´ve already make a story with a male character. Some scenes, movements, expressions…

Now my customer wants to change the gender of the caracter, and put a female instead a male. I´ve generate a new Character instance, but I don´t know how to substitute the male for the female in the scenes, with the same movements, expressions…

How can I do that?

Thanks to the unique features of our plugin with characters, you can make your task. The plugin allows you to save character animation or character emotion as a custom preset. And the saved preset from the male character can be applied to the female character. Thus, with the help of custom presets, you can transfer all the work you have done to another character.

A very important update for all users of our product!

Adobe After Effects CC 2020 update 17.5, 17.5.1 and 17.6 has a bug with a viewport slowdown performance when the option “Show Layer Controls” is enabled.

This is typical for complex or voluminous scenes. As part of our product, this affects the work with the character builder and causes a terrible slowdown in the performance of all After Effects.

Please, before working with the Builder of any character template, make sure that the option “Show Layer Controls” is disabled. This option is on the menu “View” > “Show Layer Controls” checkbox.

Although other versions of After Effects do not have this problem, we still recommend turning off this option when working with the character builder.

At the same time, when working with single instances of characters, you can use this option if you are doing the animation yourself. When viewing animations, we recommend turning off the option, since then the preview will work faster.

I bought this toolkit recently. I only got the one vidohive zip file.I just cant figure out how to download this on my after effects, way to complex for me, I’m really sad. The transition to version 4 for those using version 3.2 will be smooth as we will adhere to the principle of gradual upgrade and introduction of new features.

Working with characters in version 4 will remain unchanged, as in version 3.2 we made the largest update on characters and completely redesigned all character animations, animation structure and characters. Therefore, all materials on characters from version 3.2 will be relevant in version 4.

As for update 4, this will primarily concern the transfer of all graphical content to the Ainforce extension panel. But here also we will adhere to the principle of a gradual upgrade. First, we will transfer all the content that is as it is now. Then, with the help of minor updates, we will update and improve the structure of each section and each element in it, thus completely improving the capabilities of each element.

Regarding the release date, we cannot say for sure. Our product has the largest graphics pack in the entire market and it takes time. Most likely you should be guided by the release for March. Then every 2-3 weeks there will be minor updates with an improvement in the structure of elements.

You can replace the face, but here it is worth considering the nuances of use. If you replace only the base of the face, and the eyes and mouth remain, then the emotions system from the plugin will work without problems. However, if you want to change the eyes and mouth, then you need to consider and do this within the framework in order to subsequently use the capabilities of the plugin.
