how do you extend the length of the video. i do not want the logo to fade at 5 seconds. need it to be 10 seconds long. but ti keeps fading then popping up the logo again after in change the composition length to 10 seconds. the fade needs turned off and cannot figure it out

Well, we used the standard video frame rate (25fps) for this template.
But if you are a little able with After Effects, you can easily change compositions frame rate to 30fps
Videos for Youtube are typically recorded at 30fps and nowadays even frequently at 60fps. My videos are currently in 30 fps and it would be a bad idea to mix a 30 fps video with a 25 fps video when editing/rendering. So, the logo video has to be in 30 fps, but I am a total newbie in regards to After Effects. Can you provide a step-by-step instruction on how to change this to 30 fps or can you at least point me to a tutorial somewhere on the web that explains it clearly to someone who is an AE newbie?
Hello abooster! This template has no pre-renderd footages. So, if you change compositions frame rate in After Effects you will not have mixing fps problems. All you have to do is to open “Composition > Composition Settings..” and change the fps value. But you have to do this for each composition and sub-composition in the template.

but, i cant customize the way that logo is fading to white at the end of the movie…

I realy need to know how to change this, becuse i need to keep this background all the time, and I need only the logo fade to 0.

Question: I am able to easily edit the piece as it is, however, I would like to add my video (9 sec), and have the logo reveal begin at 03:00 sec. How can I achieve this? I set the start time to 03:00 but it still starts at 00:00.

Actually, I was trying to make the background transparent from start to finish, I did the main part but I can’t seem to clear the white fade part at the end. Can you please help?
It’s a little hard to get what you need without template modifications. The only partial-solution we can suggest to you is to delete the final white fade effect.
To do it you have to hide the “Mask” layer in the main composition. Take a look to this image: http://360designart.com/live-img/help.jpg

The error message probably depends on the missing of mp3 file. But it could depends also on the missing of some other file in the main folder. Make sure you extract all the contents of the zip file or try to replace the “Music.mp3” file in the “Project” panel (in AE) with your own audio track.

Hey there! Great design! However, I’ve been getting this error message since I first opened up the project saying ‘After Effects warning: 1 file missing since you last saved this project.’
What file is missing?
Also after I hit the render button I get this message ‘1 footage file required to render composition “2d version” is missing. Same for 3d

I am using AE CC on a PC and I get the error “this project must be converted from 9.0 (Windows). The original file will be unchanged.” every time I try to open the file. And then AE crashes… Any ideas? Thanks.

The message that you read when you open the project in AE CC is normal because After Effects recognizes that it’s an older version. The crash isn’t normal. It surely doesn’t depend on the project file (I also have AE CC and it opens any old project without problems). Try to restart your PC or re-install After Effects and let me know!
I get a warning when opening file, “After Effects is unable to create font”.

Yes sure! You can easily add a background in this video. You can do it in two ways:
1) Changing the color of the existing background
2) Adding a new image layer on the old background

What I mean is that is it possible to publish a GIF animated image that you can use on the website as a logo image.
Oh, yes! It’s possible.
When you make the movie you have to choise the Animated Gif Format. Select the composition you want to render, then click on:
Composition > Make movie… Then click on “Lossless” in “Output Module”
It will one a window. Here you can choise the format you want.
In the “Format” menu choise “Animated Gif”.
Then click on “Ok” button and then on the “Render” button.

No i’m sorry. The problem is that my AE version is not english, so I made a very quick translation and I was wrong! When i wrote “Explosion” i meant “Shutter”, “Illumination” stands for “Lighting” and “main light” is “First Comp Light”. I saw the image you sent to me and I can see, from it, that you was however able to obtain what I meant. Therefore, to obtain what you want you have to change the “light type” in “First Comp Light” in the “Shutter” effect.

It’s pretty simple: open the comp titled “3D version” and select the layer titled “logo 3D”.
In the Effects Control panel there is the “Explosion” effect.
Open the “Illumination” sub-menu and choose “main light in composition” as light type..
