One more question: I would like to make the video in dutch. I read something about translation which is not possible, but how does this influence my video? Since I only need to write dutch text..

Sure you can add every kind of additional elements you want because template is incredibly flexible.

For Dutch, If you are using English version of after effects there will be no problem, you can type text in whatever language you want. If you are using Deutscher version of after effects you can switch to english version for a while and everything will work fine again.

Hi there Coquisoldier, Customization of characters is very easy, you can adjust nose or turn it completely off and eyes are fully customizable too. (you can move eyelids to pose when characters looks very happy or sad, or also remove eyelids.)
Guide for customizations is included in tutorials folder and it’s easy to do (adjust only once and change takes effect over all animations of character)

1.You can customize characters according to your taste.
2.Designing flat / minimal characters nowadays inside After effects is a lot about finding way how to not be similar to any other design so authors have not free hands.

Thank you! ... it was caused because of very strict authoring laws (previous characters were similar to characters of one company) In these days it is very hard to balance because we have limitations from trend rules ( flat minimal design exact color palette) and also limitations from technique (after effects and puppet animation)
however, I’ve checked plenty of designs and tryed balance this to not be similar to anyone so with this version wouldn’t be any problem

I’m very sorry for this but CS4 is now becoming 5-6 years old version which is now not very popular because CS5 and up allows users to work way faster due to better performance. Second reason is that I wanted to publish update as soon as possible because a lot of customers (and theirs customers) were waiting and all this work could be done such quickly only in higher versions of AE. And third reason is that open sesame script for translation to CS4 couldn’t handle such complex template.

Hi there Iain, Probably not now, this is not caused by bug in template but some missunderstanding between Macerics OS and After Effects so solution for this have to be found somewhere else. And since I don’t have Mavericks i can’t test it

Hi All, if you look at Adobe’s website they say all you need to do is update your AE CC. I just did and it works great. Open your Creative Cloud app and update.

you have the version adobe after effects c6 11.0.

I’m sure every single element is included in template, all elements are sorted in project panel in folders like (things, signs, people, animated shapes etc.) look on these folders carefuly and i’m sure you’ll have everything there. There is Basic template, johns story and short promo template, problem may appear when you want to use some scenes from john story, but you are in basic template (where are just elements but not composed scenes) then you have to import the johns story template to your project because some scenes are only in these additional templates.

+ Everything in template is checked by videohive staff so authors can’t blame and only high quality templates are passed to marketplace.

Hi there, Thank you for purchasing and I’m very sory for complications.

Have you tried to “unshy” hiden layers and check all expressions ? To do this click unshy icon, select all layers and press “U” to show all expressions and then check if some of expressions are not disabled. If you see some expression with alert and is disabled, here is problem, just click on equals sign and it should work again.
