Hi netgraf, in AE you can go to edit>preferences>Scripting and Expressions> check Allow scripts to write files and access network. During the first run of EVT4 the script need to create a library of effects that are then called. If you are concerned about leaving this option allowed, then after running EVT4 once you can turn the setting off and all should work okay.

Yes all elements are made directly in AE so you have full access to every shape of everoy elemetn.

your project come with an extension or script?

Yes its a script that opens a small panel with a list of all the items and there you can pick and import them to your AE scene. You can check it in action in the youtube video tutorials on item page.

Hey, There is a layer called “man woman slider” which adjust these proportions automatically. Just drag its effect from 0 to 100.

Thanks for your answer, but the effect was already at 100, so it didn’t work for me.

I also tried to adjust the lenght and thickness of the arms at Null 11 (Limbs Control) but it doesn’t fix it.

Sorry, I just fix it. My AE was in Spanish so it couldn’t find some of the effects. I just switched it to English and now it’s working properly

Hi, not sure how to reproduce this bug because EVT4 is working normally on all my AE versions including the latest one. I think something could went wrong with your AE or the files where your EVT4 is located so you might need to use fresh EVT4 or AE.

Excuse me but do you have the exact route for Mac? Just want to know If is in the same route file as it should be on windows, maybe it is, but I want to be sure with that.

tried Adobe After Effects 2023.app/Contents/Frameworks/aelib.framework/Versions/A/Resources/xml/PresetEffects.xml, but when I pam after I get the message After Effects Error: Pseudo Effects failed to load. And I’m getting a weird movement from the animation “Idea” the elbow goes up when using the pre comp, its ok on the same comp project, but when I put the comp on a comp it moves weirdly.

Also check if you pasted all the code lines correctly before the last </Effects> tag. Note it is </Effects> not </Effect>

Yes! You can simply drag your illustration assets the texture composition and adjust their position. Hi sandys, You can do it in both EVT4 and Characte Animation Pack. The system is similar. EVT4 have a few limitations but has bigger library of animations while Character Animation Pack is more advanced and can safely handle all kinds of character designs.

I tried to install Adobe cc bridge to see if that was the issue but now whenI open up AE and try to open a character animation I get this error:

“Cannot apply “EVT4.1 Rig Control” (Pseudo/EVT4.1 Rig Control) effect to layer “C_HAND L” because you don’t have this effect installed on your system.”

After Effects won’t use all the computing power no matter how strong is your computer. That’s just limitation of the software where we can’t do much. I could actually add more functions to the template, but After Effects would get too slow so all authors try to find balance between speed and complexity in their templates. You simply cant expect from After Effects to have instant response time when you are building more advanced compositions. It is however fast enough for production especially if you follow my advice from previous reply. In previous post I saw you to mention rendering time which was pretty standard for the PC setup you mentioned (even not sure about your GPU). You usually preview just few seconds of animation and then when everything is done you just render the full video once.

Thanks for your reply. you write in the support section: Optimal requirements would be something like 12-16GB Ram, SSD disk, i5 processor. Anything more powerful is also great.

and i saw some comments of people who rote its buttery smooth while working. for me its impossible to animate something fluently or even see if the animation fits to the voiceover. there have to be something wrong?

Hi evercastus, no but you can flip the composition horizontally to achieve this. Select composition of the animation > Right click > Transform > Flip horizontally. Also you can flip horizontally parts of your character design inside texture composition if your design have some special details that have to be on left or right side.
