First, let’s start your After Effects as admin. Then go to Edit > Preferences > And check the option “Allow scripts to write files and access network is on”.

Second, let’s make sure you are using the correct version of the script. In your After Effects go to File > Scripts > Run script file and navigate to your downloaded Explainer Video Toolkit 4 folder > 1 EVT4 Script > Explainer Video Toolkit 4.3.jsx > open.

The EVT4 will create the necessary files during the first start up. You can check these files were created correctly if you search for %appdata% in your windows. This will open the folder Users > ThisUser > AppData > Roaming. This folder should contain a folder named “Frederik V” with animation presets inside that were mentioned in the error message.

If there is some permission issue and your After Effects can’t create this folder you can download it below and just paste it to the Roaming folder. After that everything should work fine.
