I have input my locators and confirmed path which creates a main null object. Cant continue with the tutorial because the cam option isn’t clickable. Any help I’m stuck as to what the problem is.

I installed the script file but the script window comes up blank in the project.

Can I use another map image?
hello you can use any image. The template animates the route path and the camera according to the position of your points, in the map image you can also place the photo of your dog

Hey there I have just downloaded Map Route Generator to my Mac. However it is not running as in the tutorial videos. I have placed the file in the ‘Scripts’ folder but no luck. When I click on the icon I get a message saying “This project must be converted from version 10.0 (windows 64). The original file will be unchanged ”.
Any help on getting the soft-wear into After Effects please?

Hello Jim, the message just informs you that the project was created with a previous version. It is not a problem, so I don’t exactly understand which is the problem, if you don’t see the script probably you just need to restart after effects. I need to make a map that starts in Florida and travels around the world. with multiple stops, and ends up back in Florida. How does this work when your route gets to the edge of the map? Can it pick up on the other side? Or wil I have to create 2 maps and splice them together somehow? This is in my cart and I am ready to press BUY once you respond. Thanks.
Hello you could create a map made by 2 repeated earth maps (something like this: https://github.com/GlobalFishingWatch/map-client/issues/972) so you’ll find your country on the left and on the right side of the map

Hello! I purchased this a few weeks ago, set it up and used it a few times. Now I’ve tried to go back in and it’s asking me for my purchase code again, but upon entering it and clicking activate – nothing happens. I’ve tried restarting and nothing happens. Any advice?

It’s still not working. I tried to deactivate the license, using your script, but that only led to After Effects being frozen. I also deactivated VPN and the firewall. I am using Little Snitch, and I have made an exception for your script.
My router does not have an internal firewall.
I was able to make a couple of map animations yesterday, but today the script will not let me do anything. The same error message appears all the time.

This is a great product and I am having a lot of fun with it.
I have no problem, but would just ask for an advice of best practice. I am doing a travelling video where I first made a world map with an airplane route from A to B.
Then I want to do several state and street map routes as well. I understand that I can’t go to “Map Animation” and choose “New Comp For Selection”, that’s stated in the “Read Me First”. So what is the best way to use this AE project when having several different maps? Is it to have several AE projects, one for each map used? Or is there a better way? As you can suspect I am not so skilled with AE

Hello thank you very much, as you supposed you can’t create a new composition and use it to create a new map animation, so you just have to duplicate your project, rename it and use it for your new map route animation. Best regards Marco
I want to know where to download the 3D cars and 3D running characters in the introduction video?
Hi, the animated character was downloaded from “Mixamo”. It is a website of Adobe that it offers 3d animated character objects for free. (obviously you must have a subscription on Adobe Creative Cloud). Then I opened the downloaded obj file in cinema 4d to export it as c4d animation sequence to load it in Element3D but unfortunately Cinema4D can’t export obj or c4D sequences so I used a free plugin called “SteadyBake”. It produces a sequence of c4D files that they can be imported in Element3D. I just exported 30 files and then I created a loop to repeat the runner action. About the 3D car, I’m sorry but I don’t remember where I downloaded it. Anyway it is a 100% 3d free object that you can find on the web (maybe I found it on cgtrader)
I was getting a lot of error popup’s and it is saying there are 7 files missing from the program. I finally got it running again but now it is not exporting the final project to be used in Premiere pro. any help would be appreciated.
Hello if after effects finds 7 missing files, it means that probably you moved out the project file from its original folder and ae can’t find the related assets. You can easily reconnect the missing files. Select a missing file in the project window, right click and select replace footage-> file. hello I have run the script as stated in the tutorial video however, when I go to deactivate the license, I press on “Deactivate License.” Nothing happens after, the prompt stays up. When I open the generator it is asking me for a license. Please help
Hello the “deactivate license” must be used if you want to deactivate your registered license on your current system. Obviously if your license is not registered, the “deactivate license” doesn’t work and can’t be used. Please forget the “deactivate license “ for know and simply run the “map route generator” script. When you launch it for the first time, it will ask you your username and purchase code. Type them and your license will be registered on your computer. Then in the future , if you want to remove this license from that computer you can use the “deactivate license” script. Anyway you can find details on www.marco-belli.com/faq
