Hi Thomas, When exporting, it just creates a still with no animation. How can I get the animation to export into the final file?

Hello!

I believe this issue may be from the output module settings you are using. When you are in the “Render Queue” tab, under the output module, make sure the video settings you are using is a video codec, like QuickTime.

If you already have these settings on a video codec, the only other thing I can think of is you are exporting out a single frame via the hotkey opt+cmd+s on a Mac, when you should be using the hotkey ctrl+cmd+m, which exports out to the entire composition via the render queue.

If neither of these work, could you send me a screenshot of your render queue with your project queued up and also the output module settings to support@thomaskovar.com and I’ll get back to you right away!

Thanks!

Hello, I just downloaded this item and by the way great product it just wasn’t what I needed. I would like to please ask for a refund. Thank You!

Hello,

Absolutely, just go to my author profile page, on the right-hand side in the message area send me your Paypal username and I’d be happy to send over the refund right away!

If there’s anything else I can do just ask!

Is there any way to minimize the export time? Even after adjusting settings I can’t get it under 15-20 hours… also tried switching to my school’s computer lab with brand new iMacs with no luck. I don’t have this problem with my other AE templates and I love this template otherwise!

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to help! If your render times are too long, I would recommend disabling the depth of field.

You could also disable the wires or cords you added, as that will also reduce the render times.

What I always recommend is just to render elements overnight. Before I leave work, I set up the render and when I am back at my desk the next day it’s ready to go. A lot of pre-rendered or minimal templates do render very quickly, but when you deal with a project this customizable and in 3D, there’s just no way to have fast render times.

I hope this helps! If you need any other tips, just reach out to me here or on my author profile page!

Nice Work !!!!

Thank you!

Hi Thomas class work! Im trying to get the camera to work, the background is just flat and the camera doesnt move, thanks in advance

Thank you!

I’m not sure off the top of my head why the camera isn’t working, would you be able to send me a screenshot to my email – support@thomaskovar.com . Once I can see what your scene looks like I’ll have a better idea of what’s going on.

Cool kit! Could you tell me, please, can I export your Sign as GIF and use it on my site? Will it regular or extended license? What I should use for it, After Effects? Thanks :-)

Hello,

Thank you! Yes, you can export your signs and use them as a GIF on your site. You will only need the regular license for that.

You will need Adobe After Effects to edit the project file and export the neons.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to message me here or on my author profile page.

Hey Thomas, for some reason the text in some of my modules is blurry but I can’t seem to see any difference in the settings between it and others. Thoughts?

Hello,

I’d have to see it to know for sure what’s going on, but my guess is it has to do with the depth of field settings – specifically the camera focus distance.

If you could send me screenshots to support@thomaskovar.com I’ll take a look and get you a more detailed answer!

Thanks.

Thank you!

saw it, but that one is way more good :)

Hi Thomas! Great project, Congrats! I been working on your demo replacing the Text I, for a longer sentence. I like to keep the same size as font from ur demo but I found a layer that is cutting the sentence having space in background (even if I extend the background still cutting the sentence) Im a beginer with AE, any advice? thanks in advance.

Hello,

Thank you, and thanks for purchasing Neon Sign Kit!

What I would recommend is to make sure all of your text is within the borders of the main source compositions. For example, if you are working with Module 1, make sure your text in the compositon”Text 1 Editor” is all within the borders and not going over the edges.

You can always adjust the brightness and thickness of the fonts via the methods I describe in the tutorials if you have to scale the text down, but it’s crucial to the template structure that you keep all text within the boundaries of the Text Editor compositions.

Feel free to message me on my author profile page on the right hand side if you have any specific examples or if you have any other questions!

Thanks!

Very cool work!)

Thank you!

Awesome Job! Good luck! :)

Thank you!

solid work! Thank you for making it :)

Thank you very much, I’m glad you enjoyed using it!

When you are finished with your project would you be interested in rating the project on VideoHive? It really helps others out to get feedback from your experience. If you’d rather not, no problem!

Thanks!

Hi Thomas, not sure if you’ve already answered this, but the Neon is always laid out as if we’re viewing it from below. How do I change the text to look like its front on to eye level? It looks fine in text editor but each time I go to Module is back to slant. Thanks for any guidance.

Hello, That’s just the way the different cameras are set up. You will need to adjust the “Camera Null” keyframes to the desired height (y position) and tilt (y rotation) to get them to be straight on. If you have any troubles with this or need anything specific, just ask!
