It appears that I too am having issues getting the MapGenerator to work properly. It seems to be pulling images on a loop and never completing. The coordinates I’m looking for are 33.65050137112192,-100.34254358083763.

It looks like the Google Maps options has stopped working for me – when I select it, the window that opens just stays at 0% and never moves. The Bing option seems to work – and only takes a couple minutes.

The map browser with Google does not work. It says “For development purposes only”
Please download the latest version and make sure you replaced the script and the “MapGenerator” folder in the “ScriptUI Panels” folder.
Just purchased but running into an error opening: Window > Map Image Generator.jsxbin – Unable to execute script at line 1373. null is not an object.
I’m using a Mac Studio – Ventura 13.1 + Adobe After Effects v.23.1.0

Just installed AAE version 22.0.0 and got the same error when selecting the Map Generator…

If the map generator doesn’t start to download in a few seconds that means there is an issue related to users’ computer settings/permissions. There are some ways to make it work. Such as disabling the firewall, antivirus or changing the location of the project files etc…

Hi, i’m tempted to buy this but when I type “map” in the search above just about anyone have issue with. is the map is not functional and have problem, so if i type NYC NYC 123 MAIN ST is it goes direct to adress or i have to type the code and then i get the issue that folks talk about. because the whole point of buying your product is ability to type an adress and zoom in
also it is a good rule of thumbs that you answer folks question here because then new buyers knows that problem is solvable and how. Im concern about the map, and you didn’t give an answer to anyone in the comment page and ask everyone to email yo. transparency help sell more.
Hi, the toolkit works with coordinates, but there’s a tool that generates coordinates from an address. Downloading maps from the toolkit can also be done through an app. There are some users who do not grant correct permissions for this app to work. This is why some users have a problem. But don’t worry, we’ll always guide you on how to give permission and deliver the map images within hours.
Hi MotionApe I just purchased it and follow your tutorial videos, so far so good, but after clicking “Download Map Images” it appears “can’t identify the developer (MapGenerator.app)’ caution panel on my Mac. Even though I’ve ticked “App Store and identified developers” in the preference pane. OS version: 12.6 (Monterey) AE version: v23.00
Is MapGenerator incompatible with MacOS above 12? Please help. Many thanks,
It works fine now I think. I did tick on “App Store and identified developers” prior to opening “MapGenerator” as it said in tutorial video. in fact, needing tick on when opening “MapGenerator” so that it appears “Opening MapGenerator anyway” option on the Preference Security & Privacy pane. Thanks anyway.

Hi, following the tutorials first will give you the confidence to work on any project file.
What is the difference between using Background Template and Overlay Template ?
If you add elements to the background it rotates with the background. Overlay stays still
I have just purchased this product, I have installed everything as in the tutorials. I put my coordinates into the script, and when I hit the download Maps Images button, it does nothing…the mapGenerator does not open up. NEED help ! I am running OSX 12.5` and After effects 22.6
It trys to open up but says cannot be opened because the developer cannot be varified.

Hi Motion Ape, I am using AE 22 and I can install, license and open windows and co-ordinates for the locations but when I select “Download Map Images” it stats and then just hangs at the same place and never finishes any advise would be helpful.

This usually happens when something blocks the script connections on your system. Depending on your operating system, it may be a firewall or permission requirement.
I can send you the map images if you let me know what coordinates you need to zoom in on. So that you can keep working on your project. The script is only for generating those images.
I download the latest version 3.8 and i`m still getting the “for development purpose only” on google maps images.
Hi, please make sure you deleted the old script file and the folder as well. Than copy the new script file and the folder.
