My version doesn’t include the Conversation Templates—where are these found?
Hello. It may be that your download wasn’t completed before extracting (unzipping) the file. Try re-downloading the project file (when logged in to Videohive, on the top-right select your username, then from the dropdown select “Downloads” and there you can re-download the project file).
The conversation templates should be visible directly from the project panel: https://d.pr/i/ZNYBb7
Give that a try and let me know if that fixes the issue!

Hi Thomas, Awesome product.. Would like to know if you will be updating the look and feel anytime soon of the text messages to suit the current versions in the Market i.e. Facebook messenger, iMessage etc?
Hello. Thank you! I currently don’t have an ETA for this feature, but I do have it in the queue to do a major update in the next 6 months (most likely this summer).
To be honest, I’m considering removing the social media aspect of the product and focussing solely on making the text message features as robust and easy to work with as possible. With the social media designs constantly changing, it should almost be a separate product.
Hi Thomas, I just bought the awesome AE project. Understand from the tutorial that the text message with automatically adjust to the size of the box. Apparently when I use the iOS template, for iOS Left 1, I am facing an issue that the text message is not adjusting to the box size. May I ask is there any possible way to resolve this?

Hi, awesome project. I’ve watched all the tutorials but don’t remember seeing any tips about how to implement sounds in the project e.g. typing clicks or alerts that a new message has arrived. Have I missed some tips in one of the videos on your preferred way of working with audio? many thanks, Nick
Hey Nick, thank you! There’s a few ways you could do it, but my preferred method would be to render the video out of AE, then bring the rendered video files and sound effects into Premiere and there you can fine-tune the audio levels and timing, then export out your final video (note that you should export as uncompressed as possible from AE using this method).
Of course, you could insert the sound directly in AE, but I always try to avoid that whenever possible. A good rule of thumb is to only bring audio into AE if the sound drives the animation, and even then you only use that audio for timing the animation, not for exporting out your final video file with audio. This just gives you a lot more control with the final file when you bring it all together in Premiere.

Is there a way to add the typing bubbles animation from iOS? As if the other person is typing
Hello. That’s a good idea, I currently don’t have that included in the kit, but if you could get ahold of the bubbles you could pretty easily add them in as an image and then just animate the opacity to zero when you are ready for the text to come up.
Awesome, also I can’t seem to find in the tutorials how to add a profile image next to the message. How would I go about doing that?
No problem! I think the simplest way would be to import the profile picture, drag it into the message comp you’re working in (Modern 1 Right, for example), then position and scale that how you like it, and finally parent it to the layer ‘Message Parent’.

Hey Thomas, Thanks so much for this kit! It’s so far very easy to use, except I’m having trouble changing the position of a single non-conversational message. I’m working on a 4k project and when I increase the size of one of the messags to 200% the edges sometimes go out of frame. Even if I increase the size of the composition as well by 200%. How do I adjust the x and y position of the whole text so it doesn’t get cut off? Thanks!

I’m not positive, but I think what you have to do is enable the ‘continuously rasterize’ button on the text message in your main comp you are working with.
If you do have that enabled, I would try going into the text message comp and increase the size of the comp via hitting cmd+k on a Mac, ctrl+k on a PC and increase the dimensions.
Again, I’m not positive without seeing the issue if this will solve it, but if you can send screenshots to support@thomaskovar.com I’ll be able to see much more clearly what might be causing the issue!

I just bought your product and I have to say that I’m extremely disappointed! The description says that everything is very simple and easy… But it is not, the projects only have two messages (Left and Right), which stand still on the screen (Don’t go up), even to adjust the size of the message box is annoying and not practical.
Is there any video tutorial? Because it’s not as simple as described …

The video tutorials are located within the ‘Assets’ folder in the download, in a folder titled ‘Tutorials’. There is about an hour of tutorial references in there, everything from getting started and to animating the messages, and almost everything in between that you might run into.
If you’re not seeing the tutorials, it may be that your download became corrupt or that it wasn’t completely finished downloading before extracting (unzipping) the file. If that’s the case, just log in to Videohive, on the top-right select your username, then from the dropdown select ‘Downloads’. There you can re-download the project file.

You’re Right! The only extracted folder was After Effects, none of the Assets Folders was on my Project Folder.
I have to say now that I’ve seen the Tutorials the process became A LOT easier! I was editing some elements the hard way, directly on the element rather than using the controllers.
I’m contacting you by email for further question but I’ve decided to reply here to let other users know that the item has Videos Tutorials and is Well Documented. In my previous question I had not found those files, but was my fault.
