Hi there! I have a iphone typing sound in my portfolio. Check it: http://audiojungle.net/item/phone-typing-keyboard-/14134740

hello, no project is opened, all projects are empty and there’s an error, what has email and I send you the error messages? thank you

Hello,

Sorry you’re having an issue, but we’ll get it figured out.

My first thought is that the project was not fully downloaded before you tried extracting (unzipping) the project file. That sometimes explains the project file not containing elements, giving errors or missing assets.

My recommendation is to log into Videohive, on the top-right click on your username, then from the dropdown select “Downloads” and there you can re-download the project file. The project file is about 450mb, so it will take a few minutes to download depending on your internet speed.

Give that a try, and let me know if you are still having any troubles! You can message me directly on my author profile page on the right hand side!

Thanks!

I downloaded the new version but the same problem !!!! I work on mac and the error message tells me that the project can not open with s …. macintosh

you have an email that I send you the error message ??

Hello,

Ok, if the it’s not the download that is the issue, my next thought is the version of After Effects you are using.

Are you using a version of After Effects that came out prior to CS5? Text Message Kit is only supported for CS5 and newer.

Feel free to message me at kovar.thomas@gmail.com with the error message!

Thanks!

good work !

Thank you very much!

If it’s not too much trouble for you, would you be interested in taking a second to rate the product? If not that’s fine, but I would really appreciate it!

If you are unsure how to rate, just log in, on the top right select your username, from the dropdown go to “Downloads” and above the button to download your products is an option to rate.

Thanks again!

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to use this in my personal You Tube vlogs and if so would I need a regular license or the Extended license? (Sorry Im new to ALL of this stuff)

Hello!

Yes, you can use these in your YouTube videos. I know it’s a little confusing but I’ll explain to the best of my knowledge how the licensing works.

The main aspect of the “Standard” vs “Extended” license is if the final end product is being sold or not. For example, if you are making an indie film that is going to be sold, you would need the Extended License. If you are making a product marketing video where the video itself is not being sold, you would only need the Standard License, even though the product in the video is being sold.

This question comes up a lot regarding freelancing. It doesn’t matter whether you are getting paid or not for the working on the templates, you would still only need the Standard Licensed version. The only reason you would need an Extended License is if the final video you were working on was being sold by the client.

That being said, each Standard License is only good for 1 final video. You cannot create more than 1 final video per license, whether or not you have a Standard or Extended License. For example, you cannot create a marketing video for one of your products, and create a second marketing video with that template for a new product you are launching without purchasing a second license.

That brings us to your question, what about YouTube videos? The way that works is that your YouTube videos are counted as “series”, and the series is counted as 1 final video, but the series has limitations. The license is only good for 52 videos, or up to 1 year, whichever comes first. At that point, when either 1 year has passed, or within that year you have created 52 videos with the product, you would need to purchase another Standard License.

Finally, would you need an Extended License if you have enabled ads and the final video and the video is earning income? To my knowledge the answer is that you would still only need the Standard License, since technically the video is still free.

I hope this clears everything up! Again, you may want to submit any specific license questions to the Envato Support team, but anything else I can help with feel free to ask!

Hey Thomas, I only want the last 3 seconds of the demo—- so 1 msg popping up > No time or name displayed and the message with the text box should zoom in to the foreground as far as possible, leaving a slight margin around the end frame… is this doable? I’m more of an AE copy paster ;)

Hello,

Yep, that would be pretty simple. You would just disable the time and name layers, insert your text, adjust the size of the box and keyframe the master scale parameter.

If you are familiar with the basics of AE, you will have no trouble using the kit. Everything is designed around simplicity with this project, and if you have any questions I’m here to help.

Hey Thomas, i’m getting this error

After Effects error: CT bad param: cmap table is too small

( 83 :: 2 )

When i try to open the file, i’ve just upgraded to AdobeCC, i can’t seem to solve it with any problems from the forums, have you encountered this question before?

Thanks!

Ok, that rules that out then. Are you able to actually use the project though? You said it gives the error 7 or 8 times, but after that, are you able to open the project and edit it as if there were no errors?

If so, can you try saving out the project and re-opening and seeing if it has to do with the version I saved out?

hey Thomas, i got it. looks like i had some corrupt fonts on my system. i just deleted all the custom fonts and it loaded. thx!

Great, I’m really glad you got it working!

If you run into any other snags, message me anytime.

Also, if it isn’t too much trouble for you, would you be able to rate the kit on VideoHive when you are finished with your project? If you’d rather not it’s no problem at all, it just really helps buyers get a feel for the product with your rating.

Thanks!

Can I customize the background image?

Hello,

Absolutely, the text messages are actually designed to be an overlay element on top of your images or video. The basic workflow is to select one of the text message comps, drag it over your footage or images, and edit/animate the messages.

There are video tutorials that come with the kit that go over this and much more in detail. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!

Got it! Thanks Thomas

whenever i add the kit into aftereffects, the screen goes black? i don’t know how to fix this i’m new to the program. like i’ll start a new composition with it and then i can’t see anything on preview

Hello,

No problem, what you’ll need to do is double click on the AE project file that correlates to your version, and that will open the project file.

When you start a new composition in After Effects, it is blank by default. You will need to import footage or images into AE, then drag the text message precomps on top of that in the timeline or viewer window.

If you’re brand new to AE, I would recommend watching some intro to After Effects tutorials to get yourself familiar with the UI and basics of the program. Videohive has some nice tutorials to get you started, you can view those here: http://marketblog.envato.com/how-to/learn-something-new-adobe-effects/

If you have any specific questions, feel free to message me anytime and I’ll be happy to help!

okay thank you! it’s working now. you made my life so much easier with these, haha. i needed them for a short film for my university portfolio. i thought it would look a lot more professional than showing something from an actual phone. anyway, nice work and thanks again.

Awesome, I’m really glad they worked out for you!

If it’s not too much trouble, would you be able to rate the project? It’s very fast, on the top right just select your username, then “Downloads” from the dropdown, then beside the option to download your purchase is an option to rate!

If you’d rather not that’s ok, but it would be great to get your feedback for other’s looking at the project – I know I place a lot of merit on reviews when purchasing online.

Thanks again, and if there’s anything else I can help out with just message me!

Nice Work…ThomasKovar :-)

Good job! thanks

You’re welcome!

If you have a second, it would be awesome if you could rate the project on Videohive. It’s very fast, just log in to Videohive and click on your username on the top right. From the dropdown list, select “Downloads”. From there, you can re-download any of the products you’ve purchased from Envato, as well as give a star rating for the project.

Thanks again, if there’s anything I can help out with please feel free to ask!

Would be great to include a template of an actual conversation

Great idea, I’ll add that in right away.

How do I duplicate a custom text bubble and still being able to customize it?

I customized a text message and want to use the same template for the other ones.. Though it’s still connected to let’s say “Custom Left Box 1”

Hi Nick,

First off, thank you for purchasing Text Message Kit!

I just sent a response to your email, if you have any other questions please let me know!

If anyone else has the same question, the answer is to copy the custom settings used from one comp to another. Since the project uses expressions, duplicating the main comps will not work since the expressions will not automatically update with the newly created messages.

When adjusting the actual message box shape, to copy those settings from one message box to another be sure to copy the “Path” settings – which is found if you twirl down the shape layer, then the Contents layer, then Shape 1 – and then paste that in the same spot for the new message boxes.

If anyone has any questions about this, please feel free to ask!

Such a great job! You did well! :)

Thank you! I’m glad you like it!

very nice work, i whish you all the best for your sales :)

Thank you!

Good work !!

Thank you!
