Color grading workflow in two vintage color spaces.
This project is based on reproduction of the old Technicolor work flow – the main project does not use any color presets. First the original footage is separated into individual color channels that are processed in a series of steps identical to the original analog process in order to achieve the final image. It is a flexible process that can be altered or further expanded on any level.
The project contains two processes:
Information about the original processes can be found here: http://www.widescreenmuseum.com/oldcolor
Each of the processes have a user interface in a Process Overview composition to simplify the fine tuning of the color reproduction settings. You can control every parameter and preview each stage of the process.
No third party plugins used.
Please note: this is not some color presets, and not a retro look template. This is a color grading workflow which is based on the two famous color processes of first half of the twentieth century.
The project is very easy to use, the final results of the processes can be modified.
