Where do I place the scriptool.aep file into After Effects CS6 for it to work?
Hi! You don’t need to place the file in anywhere particular.Make sure to install the font provided in the project description and then just open up the .aep in After Effects.

The project only supports english alphabet.

There are a couple of letters doing something strange on the last segment of the stroke. The letter “l” for example…

This turns out to be a font caching issue. In case anyone else runs into it: install the font first, restart the computer, and load a clean, untouched version of the .aep file.
I am currently having trouble with timing: changing the speed slider does not seem to have any effect.
I cannot get the “r” to draw. Even by putting it in the example. Any help?
Can you send me a screenshot of the composition? All the letters are animated and should be working just fine.

Hmmm….I cant seem to get this to work properly. The first letter works as it should. But all the other letters just appear….they dont go through the motion of creating a letter.
Does it give you any errors when opening? Are you using a English version of After Effects.
no errors. yes i am using an english version.
Strange.Have you checked that the required font has installed properly? Try typing something with it.
sorry for my bad bad english, but handwriting project in ae cs 5 does not work. i open the project and AE says: class “effect” has no property or method is disabled with the name “slider” expression ( in Japanese,translate with google) what can I do?

Hello, I have a little problem with this . After I have made 2-3 projects, today, after I wrote the letters and I pressed te render button, when the project was done, it has no video. I’d say I never saved the project after I worked on it. Can you tell me what is wrong please?
So when you render it doesn’t save any kind of video on your hard-drive? I can’t really help with a problem with the software,you should contact Adobe.

Your tutorial and project are excellent. I do have a question. Some of the letters are not contouring (i.e., are not flowing with the stroke of the letter). When performing a preview, most are just ‘appearing’ as oppose to flowing onto the screen. Any suggestions.
Most likely there is something wrong with the font or does the project give any errors when opening?
