Never mind. I found the font. Any ideas on how to make the background transparent for use in video. Having problems exporting it without the white background.
Render it out as Quicktime PNG with the RGB + Alpha channels.
Hi just purchased it it says ” the following layer dependencies are missing: text layer: font family; “scriptina, font style : “regular”. Do I need to add certain fonts for it to work? Im using cs. 5.5

Once you are ready to render the text in After Effects,make sure the settings in the Output module are:
Format : Quicktime
Format Options -> Codec : PNG
Channels : RGB + Alpha

Hi.. excellent job …. is there an easy way to have the text in white rather than black? Do I have to go through the precompose route? I guess the lettere are rasterized as I can’t change with the title tool

If you are not using a background layer you could add a “Adjustment Layer” on top of the letters and apply a “invert” effect to that layer.
The other ways are to pre-comp the letters and apply the invert to that composition,or apply the invert on each letter separately.

couple of things… one i have made a project already and at the end i want my title to be written using this… is it possible to integrate this into my exisitng project or cant i not do that.. IS it possible to integrate the writing into the background that i have created or is that not possible???

You can render out the text animation with alpha (transparent) background and bring that to your current project.Using custom backgrounds with scriptool itself is also possible.

sorry for my bad bad english,im am fron austria, but handwriting project in ae cs 5 does not work.
i open the project and AE says: class “effect” has no property or method is disabled with the name “slider” expression ( in german,translate with google)
what can I do?

You are running a German version of After Effects right?
The version does not understand the English expressions.We need to change those to German.Please email me from my profile page and we’ll sort this out.
Hey, just wanted to say thank you and I’m glad I bought it. I’m new with the After Effects program, and I’m working on a project. I was wondering if I could get an orange glow behind the letters and have the light moving with the raytrace effect… Give it that “magical” illusion.

For colors and glow you can check out the tutorial for tagtool.It works the same way and in the end of the tutorial i show how to add some glow and colors to the letters:

Sorry, but I’m a newbe. If I wanted to use this and make it the intro to my website, how do I add a “click here to enter” option, or make it so that once the animation stops, it is automatically taken to my website?

I understand this is a AE project file. My question though is, once rendered and exported can I import into premiere and put the file over video? Does the file export with a background?
Yes you can. Render your text animation as a Quicktime PNG with the alpha channel.Then you can add it over any background.

There is no official way to make it backwards compatible,but there is some hacks online.
