Can each placeholder be extended, I.e for 3-4 seconds each before transitioning to the next? IF so, is it easy to extend?

Hi, yes it is possible. You can add a time stretch to each layer or you can edit each scene by entering the pre-comp, change the duration, adjust the camera keyframes and all keyframes and layer related.
