Hi. Can I control the length of a video sample played (which part to be played) in a project scene/layer, or should I split it before usage the sample video to the required duration? Also can I open the project file in CS 6? Thanks.
You cant control the length, unfortunatly, but you can control wich part of the clip to be played inside AE. And it works with CS6.
Philip, great template indeed, but will it also be possible to turn off the textures completly?

Can this be modified by adding more placeholders and have the template run for a longer duration?
You can add placeholders if you know simple duplication of layers in AE.. The particles are pre-rendered, so adjusting the length of these can be tricky.. You can stretch their time/time-remapp them etc, but it wont look too smooth..
