Hi, I purchased a bundle with 20 lower thirds and when I open them in AE, portions of them are cut off. When I preview each one, parts of the texts don’t show up.
Make sure you contact the author you purchased the template from. If you would have purchased this template you would have a badge next to your name with the text “Purchased” (as you can see for some of the commenters above).

Cannot figure out how to export the lower third using the alpha channel. I need a transparent background with only the graphics showing. Can you please help? (Using Adobe Creative Cloud, current version of AE.)

i don’t know if i’m being completely stupid but I’ve tried to follow the video but my AE doesn’t show the same items. I’m trying to change to colour of the box and line in Style 1 but my effects control panel is empty and doesn’t show the option to ‘change colour and opacity’, how can i get these options up?

After opening the precomp [Change colors and opacity] , you have to click on the [Change colors and opacity] layer from the timeline in order to see the properties attached to it in the Effect Controls tab.

The easiest would be to render the lower third (RGB+Alpha Channel) for each scene and place them on top of your main video.

After Effect CC 2014 show me just everything in black & white even when I change the colours…
When I’d open your project After Effect shows me a error massage that 40 properties links (colour / effect) are deactivated.
Whats wrong?
The problem you’re experiencing is due to the fact that you installed your version of After Effects in german (most likely) and the template is created in an english version . You can read more about this on ADOBE website.
All you have to do is change the language from german to english . See here or here how to do that .
If you don’t want to change the language from german to english , please send me a message trough the contact form from my profile page (click here) and I’ll send you (in aprox. 30 minutes) the template with “Universalized Expressions” that will work with any language of After Effects.

Hi Ive just purchased this and its fine. However, when I follow your instructions in Adobe AE CC to flip the text onto the right of the screen instead of the left, they don’t work, the text is off screen at the top right of the screen. Please advise.

Yeah fixed it, one more thing I’m using Style 4 but I have no idea how to fill the box with text, since change text 02 – style 04 is just a small black bar and I cant put a lot of text in it, any fix?
Style 04 has 2 line of text :
- first bigger line for name : JOHN DOE
- second smaller line : MOTION GRAPHIC DESIGNER ON VIDEOHIVE
If you want to disable this 2 lines of text and add more text to fill the black box , here is how to do that : youtu.be/_xAg24Of71U
Please don’t use the word “fix” anymore , because it may mislead customers that there is something wrong with the template , wich is not the case here.

Oh man this is getting frustrating, I could change my colors 5min ago and now I can’t , when I press on Change colors the tab doesn’t show up next to project :L
It sounds to me like you managed to close (by mistake) the [Effect Controls] panel.
You can either change the [Workspace] , or choose [Window] – [Effect Controls] from the top menu and it will show up again.

You can make them stay longer on the screen by moving some keyframes

You can’t change the size of the black box for style 01 . To do that , you basically have to recreate the entire animation for the black box and the yellow line that unveils it (= a lot of work) .
Hey there how do I make the yellow box – style longer (example a long title… words get cut off…so I want the box longer… ?
