Hi Thanks for the reply. I am also having real problems when I try and duplicate a lower third. If I edit one they all change all my copies. How do I do that please? At the moment I can only have the same person in the whole of my film :O)

I just purchased these wonderful lower-thirds, by far one of the best on the videohive!
Just have a quick question, I usually use sony vegas pro to edit videos, so when I rendered one of the files in After Effects and dragged it into sony vegas to put on top of my video, the background of the lower-third is black so you cant see my video, how can I make the background transparent so only the lower third is showing and not the entire video background?

I am trying to change the size of the black box – style 03. New to AE so sorry for newbie question! I want to make it larger to allow for more text without reducing size of text. I went into PRECOMPS Style 03 but cannot seem to make the changes required…help!

What you want is not a pre configured modification of the template , but I took the time to make this screen recording . Only change the width. If you change the height , you’ll mess the keyframe animation .

Hey, great work btw..I tried to lengthen the duration of style 1 and 2 so that 1 comes in first, then two comes in, then 1 exits and then 2 exits after that. In the render q, it says the duration is 37 seconds long, but after i look at final movie which is in quicktime format, it seemed to have cut off part of the render and Im like 10 seconds short. I changed the duration by toggling in/out duration stretch panes and then increasing the times accordingly until i achieved what I was looking for. Am I doing this wrong? Please help. Thanks
I’m not quite sure what changes you’ve done . In order to make style 01 (for example) longer , you have to open the comp named “Style 01” , select all the layers from the timeline (CTRL + A) , and press U on your keyboard to reveal the animation keyframes . Here you can play with the keyframes as you want. (IMPORTANT : The work area ends at 8 seconds. Make sure you extend the work area also if you want to increase the length of the lowerthird) .

First , try downloading the zip file another time from videohive , extract all files into the same folder and open the “clean-and-simple-lower-thirds.aep” file again.
If the problems you’re experiencing persist , just send me an email trough my profile page (Click on CleanAndSimple to go to my profile page and scrool down until you see the “Email CleanAndSimple” tab).
Please provide links to printscreens or use the website Screenr to record your screen .

You can use/edit this template only in After Effects. In order to use the lower thirds in Premiere or any other editing software , you’ll have to render (RGB+Alpha Channel) the lower third in After Effects first and then just import the rendered file into your editing software and place it on top of your video .

I would like to use Style 04 about 5 times in the same video for different speakers.
What’s the easiest way to duplicate a style for multiple uses?
The easiest way would be to render style04 with alpha channel for each one of the 5 speakers and then import them back into After Effects and apply them to your video .

Ok , The problem you’re experiencing is due to the fact that you installed your version of After Effects in german and the template is created in an english version . You can read more about this on ADOBE website.
All you have to do is change the language from german to english . See here or here how to do that .
