Does this work with AE 2021?
I just tested the script with latest AE CC 2021 (v18.4).
Everything works as it should.
Also recorded a short video, how it works:

Happy sales!!
Does it work with the new AE CC 2017.1 ?
Hi, I didn’t test the script with AE CC 2017. But as I see nothing was changed, so it should work fine.

The script is awesome and works perfect! It would be great to have a headless version for use with ft-toolbar:) best from germany r
Thanks!
If you want a headless version, contact me through my profile page. It’s an easy thing so I can quickly modify my script for your needs.

Glad you like it!
Moldec! Nice work done!
Hi, having a problem, when I try to use it on something simple. (shape layer with 2 key frames moving from left to right) I get the following error when I click on Bind Selected Keys: TypeError: undefined is not an object, can you help? thanks
Hello,
I don’t get any error. May you send me the project, where you have this issue? ( dogmotiondesign@gmail.com ) And it would be nice if you tell what exactly you do, every step. Maybe you selected something else except the keys?
Thank you.
I sent you a sample file and a video showing you what I did, just wanted to make sure you got it.
No, I didn’t get your message (also looked in spam).
Try to send once again. Or maybe contact me through the form in this page http://videohive.net/user/dogmotion
Fixed…It’s working great! Thanks for your quick response!
Great tool.. this is very help full for complex animation..
One question before I buy. Is there a way to remove KeyBinder from a layer? What happens if I delete a KeyBinder or the layer containing KeyBinder… will AE start giving me expression errors?
Hi.
Yes, if you delete the control layer (that was created by KeysBinder), you will have expression errors.
But there is a special checkbox that deactivates KeysBinder. And you will be able to work with keys as usual. Of course, you still need to keep the control layer. It simple and fast solution, but not a perfect one.
To completely remove KeysBinder from your composition, you need to delete all expressions that were created by it. A little bit slower but it will complitly clear your comp from KeysBinder.
In video tutorial I show those two methods.

Are you planning to add a feature to KeyBinder that would do this automatically?
I’m definitely planning to upgrade the script periodically. No matter how popular it will be. Because I will use it myself in almost all my future projects.
And yes, in my plans I have the feature that will be able remove KeysBinder automatically from a comp, layer or selected properties (depends on what you select).
By the way, I’m also planning to use markers as a controller objects instead of sliders.
But right now I can’t say when updates will be released. I will try to add the removing feature this year.

Sounds great! There are benefits to using markers instead of keyframes, but there are obviously disadvantages as well. For an example if you use markers for any other purpose on the layers having KeyBinder markers could make it messy? I think the best solution would be to let user decide if KeyBinders creates keyframes or markers (when that functioanlity is available). Anycase cool script! I probably buy it soon, but the #1 function it needs is the ability to remove KeyBinders from a layer. If you accidentally choose wrong keyframes or want to make some other changes… the current KeyBinder setup might get messy at that point. Anycase thumbs up for a great script!
Script will read description of the markers. And use only those markers that contain specific tags (“animation_in”, “animation_out”, for example). So it will be not messy.
And of course, you will choose to use keys or markers.
I think you misunderstand me. If you delete a layer or a property that was binded by the script, there will be no errors. Other layers / properties will work fine. For example, if you delete a property or a whole layer, it will not touches the other layers / properties.
You will have errors when you delete the one main control layer that contains control sliders. Even if you accidentally delete a key(s) in control slider, there will be no errors. Properties that was binded with that slider will take the default values. And when you return the key (that you deleted), properties will start follow the control slider as before. The same thing with all keys… if you delete and then return them back everything will work fine.
So all properties that was binded connected only with one main slider, they don’t “see” each other, so if delete or copy some of them, others will not notice that, and will work as before.
Hope you understand this.
I also want to notify you, I’m going on vacation from 7 to 18 September. So you will have no support till September 19.
