Hello,
First of all, thank you for making such an amazing pack. I’ve been using it for 2 years now. However, I’m having a small issue with some of the transition presets (fade, flash, blur). It used to work perfectly, but now it seems to show a few frames of the original clip right at the end of the transition, almost like it flickers back. I’ve tried reinstalling everything, and the other transitions work fine, so I’m not sure what the issue is.
Here are some examples: Flash Transition https://imgur.com/a/WpP5NF0
Blur Transition https://imgur.com/a/1fR5NBl
The Fusion Page https://imgur.com/a/ZRkwJpy
Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate it! And Happy to help!
So, that would be some type of bug inside your DR. All the transitions are 100% DR engine based. So, we want to try a few things to try and fix.
1. Can you try re-installing the Plugins? You can just go to the DRFX file in CINEPUNCH Plugins Effects folder. Double-click.
Also, I read the latest DR has some bugs. One being their Template DRFX. There is a way to fix that as well.
Its a matter of reseting the Templates inside DR packet.
Here is a video on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU_7KQiqWgU
2. GPU Rendering Mode
Go to Preferences > System > Memory and GPU.
Switch GPU processing mode between CUDA and OpenCL (or Auto). Sometimes the wrong mode causes transition previews to render black.
3. Timeline Proxy/Render Cache
If Render Cache is set to Smart/None, Resolve might show black frames or glitching during transitions.
Try setting Playback > Render Cache > User, then right-click the timeline and select Render Cache Color Output.
Also check if you have Proxy Mode turned on (Playback menu). Lowered resolution can sometimes glitch transitions.
4. Video Format / Codec
Black timeline transitions are more common with certain compressed codecs (H.264/H.265).
If you’re editing with those directly, try generating optimized media (right-click clips > Generate Optimized Media). Alternatively, transcode to a mezzanine format (ProRes/DNxHR).
5. GPU Drivers
Make sure your NVIDIA/AMD drivers are up to date.
Quick test: create a new horizontal 1920×1080 timeline, drop the same clips and transitions—if they work fine there, then it’s specifically a vertical timeline bug.
Let me know if this helps!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the quick reply! I tried everything you mentioned, but unfortunately, nothing worked. I reinstalled the plugins, reset the templates, changed the GPU rendering, changed the render cache, generated optimized media, proxy media, and confirmed that all my drives are up to date. I also tried a vertical timeline, but the transitions are still glitching
Hello! So, I was researching your issue pertaining to DaVinci Resolve. The likely cause sounds like an update bug for DaVinci Resolve. Lets try a few more things.
Delete UI cache: Quit Resolve → delete the folder:
Windows: C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\CacheClip
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/CacheClip Then reopen.
Turn off Fusion memory cache: Preferences → User → Playback Settings → uncheck “Enable Fusion memory cache.”
Set playback render mode to CPU: Preferences → System → Decode Options → disable GPU decoding (if available).
Disable “Optimized Media” and “Proxy Mode.” They sometimes pull the wrong frame.
Force timeline render: Right-click timeline → Render Cache Color Output.
Try different timeline format: Create new timeline, same clips, but set resolution and frame rate manually — no auto.
Render in place test: Right-click the transition region → Render in Place (ProRes/DNxHR) → see if flicker disappears.
Reset UI preferences: Hold Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + 1 when launching Resolve to reset UI configs.
Update or roll back version of DaVinci Resolve. The Transitions are all 100% DaVinci Resolve engine based, so, no external FX could be causing the issue. The issue would be steming from a DaVinci Resolve update, or a conflict on your system.
Let me know if any of this helps resolve the issue.
Thank you so much!
Hello, thank you so much for the quick response. I honestly have never seen customer service like this on a product. You’re amazing!
I did everything step by step, but unfortunately, nothing worked. I even redownloaded the pack and reinstalled it, but no luck. I’m tempted to just reinstall DR at this point. But the weird thing is that this only happens with the blur, flash, and some of the fade transitions. It’s really strange. I will try to roll back to an older version of DR to test. That’s the only thing I haven’t tried.
Thank you so much! I always helps the best I can!
So, it sounds like some type of DR update bug. I recently had to roll back the latest DR, because of some simple DR internal bugs I was finding with regular editing.
Did you try simply deleting the Transitions folder inside DaVinci Resolve, and re-installing? Or, double-click on DRFX file to re-install again?
Let me know if you roll back the DR or do a fresh install again. I’m here to help any way I can, my friend! Thank you so much!
The package is very good and works in DRS 20.2.1. However, some transitions when working with vertical timelines don’t work, generating black boxes. I would appreciate it if this issue could be resolved.
Hello! Thank you so much! So all the transiitons are macros, with all FX from transitions being DR and Fusion based. No 3rd party or external FX that would cause that.
Therefore, any black screen boxes you may face will likely be an issue with your system or install. It would not be the transitions.
Can you try re-installing the Plugins? You can just go to the DRFX file in CINEPUNCH Plugins Effects folder. Double-click.
Also, I read the latest DR has some bugs. One being their Template DRFX. There is a way to fix that as well.

Thank you so much!
I really appreciate you being attentive to those of us who purchased this great product. Unfortunately, what you advised didn’t work. Neither reinstalling the package nor the video you shared about reinstalling the templates worked. It’s on Windows and my system is Mac OS, and the file doesn’t appear in the specified path. It’s worth noting that everything works in horizontal material and timelines, but problems arise with vertical timelines.
Hello! of course! I’m here to help!
Good to know on both, Mac and the Vertical Timeline being your issue here. I always triple test everything, and I can confirm, on Macs, all verticals are working fine. So, it may be the reset or potential gpu settings.
In this case I’m using a 1080X1920 vertical with a blur transitions in this screenshot (Mac) – https://imgur.com/A7DJqn5
So, first, the Mac path will be /Users/your name/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion
Inside you will see (Double Click) CINEPUNCH Plugins & Effects Desktop.
Now this may or may not solve the black veritcal issue. vertial timeline black issue.
GPU Rendering Mode
Go to Preferences > System > Memory and GPU.
Switch GPU processing mode between CUDA and OpenCL (or Auto). Sometimes the wrong mode causes transition previews to render black.
2. Timeline Proxy/Render Cache
If Render Cache is set to Smart/None, Resolve might show black frames during transitions. Try setting Playback > Render Cache > User, then right-click the timeline and select Render Cache Color Output.
Also check if you have Proxy Mode turned on (Playback menu). Lowered resolution can sometimes glitch transitions.

If you’re editing with those directly, try generating optimized media (right-click clips > Generate Optimized Media). Alternatively, transcode to a mezzanine format (ProRes/DNxHR).
4. Vertical Timeline Orientation (specific to your case)
DaVinci has had bugs when the timeline orientation is vertical (portrait).
Switch temporarily to a horizontal timeline, add the transition, then switch back.
Or nest the vertical timeline inside a horizontal one, apply transitions there.
5. GPU Drivers
Make sure your NVIDIA/AMD drivers are up to date.
Quick test: create a new horizontal 1920×1080 timeline, drop the same clips and transitions—if they work fine there, then it’s specifically a vertical timeline bug.
Let me know if any of these resolves the issue on your Mac.
Thank you so much!
I am a new DR user. Is it easy to work with your pack?
Hello! Happy to help!
So, yes it is very easy to work with the pack. Keep in mind this Pack is loaded with different tools, plugins, assets, and VFX Packs.
So, There will be plugins like TransitionPunch. That is drag and drop between shots.
FilmLooks & Disruption Glitch Plugins – for which those two plugins require DaVinci Resolve Studio. Those are drag-and-drop with a bunch of controllers to adjust your own look.
Lutmaster is drag and drop to color footage.
Then all the VFX Packs and Sound Packs. These are not plugins. They are Assets Packs in 4K 6K 8K. Video Overlays you place above your footage, titles…etc and change blending.
So it is not one plugin rather there are over 20 different Plugins, Tools, Packs inside. But all simple to use.
Here is the Video Tutorial Channel. You can breeze through some videos to get a better idea. https://vimeo.com/showcase/8903036And of course, contact me anytime if you have any questions. Thank you!
So, I’ll buy the studio version
Thanks !
Hello! My pleasure. Just to clear up, all the tools inside CINEPUNCH for Davinci Resolve works with the Free version. However, Filmlooks and Disruption Plugins require the DaVinci Resolve Studio. Reach out anytime if you have questions. Thank you!
Maybe i’ll test it with the free version. Because, i’m very interested by the luts. It’s the firts time i will work with davinci resolve. so, i have a lot to learn.
Sounds great! Reach out if there is anything you need. I’m always here to help. Thank you!
Hey! what about DR studio 20 version? is it compatible?
Hello! Yes, all the plugins and Cinepacks assets work in DR 20. The Filmlooks and Disruption Glitch Plugins do require the studio version for those two particular plugins. But everything else will work in the Free version as well. Please reach out if you have any other questions. Thank you!
Hey PHANTAZMA, thank you for ur fast answer. I just bought the studio version, and i’m in learning lesson from BlackMagic. But, i will buy your plugins and effect pact this week. To happy to test it!
Thank you!
Thank you mate. Wher are u from?
My pleasure! I’m located in the US. Are you in Canada?
Yes, Quebec. I’m asking because it’s pretty sure we are in the same time zone. I may be wrong too
Ah, I love Quebec! Beautiful!
Yes, I’m on the East Coast, in Florida. So we are right in the same time zone there!
Hi mate! Eric if I may make a small suggestion , I think it would be useful to indicate that it is compatible with version 20.x. It is sometimes a small obstacle to purchasing not to see the compatibility with the latest versions of a software. This is my little opinion, because for me it is a hindrance. Especially here, where the best often rubs shoulders with the worst.
Have a nice one mate! Btw, you have a new YT follower
Hello my friend! Good point! I did update on the backend of Envato to display the latest update compatibility. Envato only shows DR 19. It certainly is compatible with DR 20. I made to sure to post the update compatibility at the very top page, in case folks were not sure. I always test and update on all suites.
Thank you so much for the follow!
You’re the Best!
With the talent we know you have, and also the fact that you live in North America, you know snow well. So, wouldn’t adding a little winter pack be a good idea? Falling snow effect, some luts with cold skin. And why not some transitions and complete with a little sound pack
Easy for me to suggest things. Thanks for all… i need to test all that.
You are too nice! Truly! Those kind words mean so much!
Its funny because I actually had planned to do a snow pack. Now, coming from New England, we had blizzards almost every week. And there was one point I was going to attempt to capture natural snow fall. I did some tests but I was not pleased. So I scratched it at the time.
Now, I was thinking of doing that pack, and very well may create that and add it in. Now, I live in Florida and there is never any snow here!
But I am back and forthe to New England regularly. However, I woulod still create the overlay pack in a different method. But it is on my radar!
DaVinci Update Note;
Everything works with the latest update of DaVinci Resolve 19.1 both Mac and Windows.
If you are getting a Black Screen on your Transitions, Luts or Plugin Effects since updating to the latest DR 19.1
1. Re-installing the Plugins file in your CINEPUNCH main folder. You can just go to the DRFX file in CINEPUNCH Plugins Effects folder.
Got to your 3.CINEPUNCH MACROS Transitions & Effects -> DRFX Double Click or Drag and Drop Install -> (Double Click) CINEPUNCH Plugins & Effects Desktop.drfx
Also, the latest DaVinici Resolve 19.1 has a Template DRFX bug they need to fix. This will cause plugins and effects to go to black screen.
There is a way to fix that as well. Its a matter of reseting the Templates inside DR packet.
Here is a video on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU_7KQiqWgU
Thank you.
For some reason, I’m not sure if it’s due to a recent update in resolve (Using 19.1.2 Davinci Resolve Studio), but the transitions appear as a black screen when placed. Resolve’s regular transitions work and display fine though.
Hello, Happy to help!
So there is nothing external in the TransitinPunch. It’s all DaVinci effects engine. Not like the Disruption or Filmlooks plugin that requires the Studio version for Fusion.
So, I can confirm Everything works with the latest update both Mac and Windows.
Here is a video on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU_7KQiqWgULet me know if this helps. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Thanks a bunch, that video solved the issue. Appreciate it and happy holidays!
Fantastic! I’m happy that helped! Please reach out if there is anything you need, my friend. And Happy Holidays to you!

I’ve noticed you mention Resolve 17 in the item listing. But is this fully supported in Resolve 19 Studio and vice versa, please?
Hello, Happy to help. Yes, everything is fully compatible with Davinci 19 Studio. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you
Hi I just bought this pack and to my surprise all the assets are not included in the download. Instead, you’ve provided links for each of the assets, one by one. Please tell me you have 1 link available that I can download everything in one go. As downloading one by one is a tedious process and not what I could see anywhere in the listing description. Thanks
Hello! Happy to help. There will be the VFX Assets inside the CINEPUNC.dra folder Those are 8K h265 files. Everything is inside the main download.
Now, the CINEPACKS folder will be those same assets packs. Each pack you access you have the option on the top of the page to download the entire pack in UHD. Thos packs are much better quality files. I highly recommend getting the UHD packs at the top of each Pack Page. Then, once the pack is downloaded to your system, just import.
And, of course, the page itself where you can download individual assets at a wide variety of resolutions.
Let me know if yu have any questions. Thank you!
Hi but sorry there is NO “CINEPUNC.dra ” folder in the zip file I downloaded here. I did a search for .dra from the root folder and nothing appears. I’ve tried to follow your video “What’s Inside CINEPUNCH for DaVinci” and although you show several folders, my zip file is missing the CINEPUNC.dra and LUTMASTER folders. Is that right? Is the video an old version? Or am i missing somehing?
Hello, You should have in the folder you downloaded from Videohive, the Lutmaster and CINEPUNCH.dra folders.
Here is a screenshot of the most current v22 update to show you. I downloaded this from the backend of Videohive and unzipped.
This is what you should have inside the main download folder. Here is a screenshot: https://postimg.cc/zLQ0Lywj And the CINEPUNCH.dra will have a folder inside there called Media Files.Hi, I already have Cinepunch for Premier, as back then there was no resolve Version although I only use resolve, is there a cross grade or discount to get the additional resolve stuff (like transitions…)
Hello! Happy to help! So, unfortunately Envato does not allow for any type of cross grade or customer discounts. However, do conact me when you have a moment. I can help you corrdinate with Envato some of these options.
https://videohive.net/user/phantazmaThank you!
Have you tested in DR 19 beta by chance?
Hello! Yes, I have been testing. So far, so good. I have not had any issues. All Cinepacks work perfectly. As they should. The Plugins so far have been working great in the tesing thus far. To be clear, this is with the Studio version, not the free. Still running different tests, but so far so good!
Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Great, thank you!
Anytime my friend!
Hey just sent an email if you can check please.
Hello! Thank you!
I just replied to your email.
Hi! first thanks for your amazing work, I bought this a while ago for Adobe Premiere and it is by far the best pack i bought. I’ve switched my workflow to DaVinci and I wonder do I have to repurchase this for DaVinci?
Hello! Thank you so much my friend! I truly appreciate the kind words!
If you could email me via my profile: https://videohive.net/user/phantazma
I can better help you. Thank you so much!
The product page lists this as compatible with DVR 17. Is it compatible with the latest version, and I perhaps missed it somewhere else? I would assume it is, having been recently updated.
Hello! Happy to answer any questions you have.
Yes, everything is compatible with the latest version of Davinci Resolve. I just ran an update for 18.6 and iPad, this week for re-packing, all is works great.
Just to note: Film Looks and Glitch plugins works for Davinci Resolve Studio only. Not the Free version.
Film Looks plugin is not compatible with iPad currently. But all other Plugins, Tools and Effects are compatible with iPad.
Transition Punch, Lutmaster, Sound Packs, All CINEPACKS work with Studio and Free version of Davinci Resolve.
Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the prompt response!
Anytime! Reach out if you have any more questions. Thank you!
Can I use the CinePunch Pack with the Standard License for as many projects as I like? And do you include particle effects for atmosphere, such as falling leafs, snow, lightning, stars, rain, etc? I am looking especially for bundles with those effects.
Hello! Happy to answer any questions you have.
Yes, with Standard license you can use for as many projects as you like. So, for particle effects, there is no plugin for particles. Moreso, the CINEPACKS, whihc are 4K 6K 8K Assets packs. And there is a ton of CINEPACKS included. There is not falling leafs, snow, stars, rain. There is a CINEDUST pack. Those are 8K floating duct particles you can lay over shots, titles or text to create atmosphere. That pack is vey popular for adding a subtle atmosphere of dusty gritty feel.
So, aside from the LUTS Packs, Film Plugin, Glitch Plugin, Sound Packs, there are the CINEPACKS.
The CINEPACKS themselves are 4K 6K 8K Overlays. All optically captured.
CINEDUST
Anamorphic Creams V1 – Anamorphic Flares
Anamorphic Creams V2 – Spherical and Anamorphic Flares
Fractal Light
Haze, Fog and Light
GLAM – Bokeh Glitter
Hypnotinks – experimental ink backdrops
LightDrops – Elegance Transitional Light overlays
Disruption- Glitch Overlays
Filmmaker VFX – Film Grains
FilmPunch- Film Frame Overlays
Prism – RGB Light Overlays
Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions. Thank you!
hei can you fix link broken for hypnotinks on cinepacks davinci resolve, links its broken and icant donwload. i was sent email to phantazma about this issue. thanks
then i go download one by one but in page 5 download option dont show anything. please fix. thanks
update. thanks i can download again manual one by one per page
And if you can tell me what pack you are having trouble downloading. Thank you
Hello, can you please tell if there is any discount available for this pack? I am interested in buying, but waiting for sale price/discount. Any chance of special sale price this year?
Hello my friend! If you want to contact me via my profile I would be happy to keep you posted when that does occur.
Please contact me via my contact page here: https://videohive.net/user/phantazmaThank you so much!
hello – I have Davinci installed on both Mac and Windows. Can I use one license for both of my computers with different operating systems?
Hello! Happy to help!
Yes! You can have one license for both computers for sure. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
hi, does it work for DaVinci Resolve on iPad?
Hello! Yes, it does work for iPad.
So, for Disruption and Film Looks Plugin you still need the Studio version of Davinci for iPad.
To install you will just need the .drfx file and “Edit” folder on your iPad. You will then just move the .drfx file to the Davinci, Fusion, Templates folder. Restart Davinci. Good to go.
Now, for the CINEPACKS, those are all video overlays in 4K 6K 8K Packs. So, those packs you will want to download onto your iPad and import. Or download onto your computer, transfer it to iPad. Whatever works.
But yes, all works inside the Davinci iPad. Let me know if you have any other questions my friend! Thank you so much!
Hi, I can’t find the transition at 1:17 of your video preview. What’s the name please.
Hello! Happy to help! So, that is a zoom transition. Not sure exactly which one since there are many. But that would be in the zoom transitions I believe. Let me know if there is anything else you need my friend!
I know it’s a zoom effect but I checked all but I didn’t find this one. Can you give me the name of this effect please?
Sure thing! So, I will go through Transitions on my end, and double check. If you can email me via my profile: https://videohive.net/user/phantazma That way, I can put the proper one aside for you to make sure. There are so many Effects and transitions I have to check which ones it may be. Thank you!
Hello! I bought this a while ago for Adobe Premiere and really happy with it. I’ve recently switched my workflow to DaVinci and I was wondering do I have to repurchase this for DaVinci?
