Is it possible to use this in DaVinci Resolve? It seems a bit unnecessary to buy Adobe After Effect to fix a video change.
Hi, unfortunately this is not made for DaVinci Resolve. You will need to use Adobe After Effects to edit the template.
Author attempted to help which was great but we still couldn’t get the file to work. Maybe an issue with its compatibility with the new Apple OS system. He offered to render my file for me which was helpful. Thanks
Hi I am using the latest version of AE and Im getting an ‘Error with file’ warning when I open the project. ‘Module could not parse the file.’ The project is unusable and I would either like a fix or refund.

Hi mate. You can mail me directly via my Envato profile page 
click my username and you should see a spot where you can write me an email. And to answer your question; there is a PDF-guide included with the template that explains all of this. You can use any image size you want. Video as well. Insertion of footage is basic; you place your video/image inside a pre-comp called “media comp” or something. One for each image. If your image is too big/small you simply adjust the size so that it fits the comp.

Hi! I guess a tune with the same bpm should work fine! You can also do some adjustments in the template to retime stuff to your new music.
But no, I dont know any fitting songs right now. I personally think Audiojungles prices are decent!

Is it possible to change the black background to white ? Change alpha channel or so ? Grts
The hands are shot on a black background and have not been keyed out. Therefore you cannot simply change the background to white. It is however possible to change it slightly to another color, using a blendmode on the hands, but it works best in black.. Because of the way this is filmed, the hands cannot be keyed out nicely.. You are welcome to try and key them out yourself (using luma key or something)

Sorry for the late reply. But yes, I think you can manage. It is not that complicated. But you should know the basics. Like how compositions work, how to insert new footage, how to edit texts, insert audio and how to render.
It comes with a simple PDF-guide. I know a video would be more helpful, but I didnt make that for this one, sorry..

Do you know if I can replace the black background for another image or color.
You can change the BG-color slightly, but not fully, since the hands are filmed on black and have a screen/add blending mode.
You could key out the blacks, but that would make parts of the hands transparent.
Hi Phillip, I’m almost finished my project using your template but I realize I accidentally broke the link between the hand and the footage in one placeholder. I cant seem to be able to reconnect them. Can you please let me know how to do it? Right now, in Placeholder_01, the hand opens and my imported footage follows, but when the hand closes, the footage stays open instead of closing with it. Am I even looking in the correct comp?

Hi Phillip, I notice that all the JPG sequences for the single hand are of the right hand, yet in one of the placeholders, the action for HAND04 is inverted so that it looks like it’s the left hand now. How did you do this? I cant figure it out…
