Hello, I’m thinking about purchasing this but would like to know if you have any step-by-step instructions that are clear on what to do. I am a beginner at AE and will need a guide to help me with each step. I’m not interested in little clips on how-to but full on tutorials with detailed information and voice over. Any helps?!

I’ve got the same issue than meierseppeltina, error message “After Effects has no feature with name color. Expression desactivated. After Effects has no attitude with name slider. Expression desactivated.” (CS6 / Mac)
So I can’t customise the background and border colours… :/ Any idea how to fix that please ?...
Huh ? i think you move or shifted the comp. you can try to re-open the original working file. If there is not error in that file, which means you moved or shifted some comp that cause the errors
No really, I’ve got this error message at the first opening of the file. I didn’t moved or shifted nothing… But it works perfectly on CS4… So I will make my project on CS4. Thanks anyway.

I have finished my project and rendered at 1920×1080. The video placements in my 35+G file are very choppy. Your comp is set to 25fps, and I output to 30fps. Could this cause the choppiness? Pretty much every placed video is choppy (the sources are many, going back several years). Is there a lower common denominator I should follow when rendering?
Yea ! It’s because of you changed to 30fps.
The problem will be fixed if you render in 25fps 
Hi Silver. I re-rendered at 25fps. Still choppy and jerky on placed vids. I re-output as H.264, same issues. It’s all the videos, not just the old ones. Any recommendations on output settings to compensate? I did a bunch of online searches, even creating a new composition and pasting existing into it, no help. Thoughts?

The AE File? It would be rather large with all the referred videos and pictures. Or the output file?
How big is the AE file ??
AE alone is just over 17MB. But won’t the referring videos and photos need to come over as well? I’m happy to dropbox anything to you. I’ve run any number of tests. I’ve run Interpret Footage on every piece of video. Setting each for Upper Field, etc. I’ve output to H.264, MotionJPEG, HDV720p (when I rendered a 1280×720 to see if that made a diff.) With minor exceptions, everything behave pretty much the same. The place videos are stuttery, jerky. They don’t go in reverse as if the Interpret Footage was set wrong. It feels more like a sync with frame rate. Though now everything is set to run to 25.
Anything you can suggest, do, would be appreciated. Like I said, I can dropbox the whole thing on you.
Referring content in folders on Drive are 750MB, btw. AE needs them to refer to, right?
Oh ya … May I ask what player you used to play that video ? Might be the player problem also. You can try to use Vlc player and try again. If it’s still choppy, try to send me the AE file with all the footages also to me. I try to render in my computer
I ran it on a VLC with the same result. I have a powerbook with a load of RAM so playback on any number of players hasn’t been an issue. I just let a long full res ram preview run and played it back in AE on one of the vids and it was much smoother. So perhaps I should zip this up and send? I want to send you a version before I went through and ran the Interpret Footage on everything, because that sample came out much, much worse. I can send via Hightail if that’s okay? What email address should I use?

Hello Silver_Mark, I love this template! Thank you! I placed photos under border in the comps of Replace Your Media Here folder. For the comps no.16, it turns the photos “negative” look? When I turn off “Fx” for each comp (16), it solves the negative look, but it will loose the border animation, I guess. I would appreciate for any help! Thank you!

the only way is you need to know basic of After Effects. So that you can arrange and edit yourself. I have no idea what are the fastest way …

Hi. I been looking for something to create a beautiful slideshow for my son who is turning 1 this Saturday. I came across your template and immediately fell in love with it and made the purchase. The only problem is…I don’t know how to work on After Effect. Seriously, I know you much be thinking why purchase it than. It because I love my son to heart and want something extra special for his first birthday and I made promise to my wife that I will deliver something extraordinary beautiful for the event.
So, I have a small request to make and most like I think you might say no but do you think if I provide you the 150 images+15 video with the audio file, you could arrange it for me and send me the final version as movie. I would highly appreciate if you could really do this.

Awww…You are such a lovely daddy. But the things is it will still takes times to arrange all the images and videos. And I have a full time job and some freelance job with my team. For the 150images version, it will take like few hours to export it out to a video format. And I’m doing other projects as well. It’s not enough time for me to finish it before Saturday . And there is an additional charge for it.
Thank you for replying back. Its almost 1 AM and I was hoping you would reply and you did. Please do this for me. I do not want to disappoint my wife and especially my son when he sees his first birthday video 10 years from now. If you do this than I won’t mind paying (hoping its not too much) but if you still cannot do it than please guide me toward something that I could follow to create it my own. I just want to know how I could add pictures/video and than make it into a final video (which I assume its call Render in After Effect). I kindly request you to please assist me with something as this is very important for me 
Yes I can help u, but need u to know that whatever in the preview will be the final video, because if u request like extra duration or change camera angle it will take more time. And also the 100+ photos will take very long time to render. What’s your budget?
Thank you so much. Okay that would work. To make things goes fast, I won’t request the change of the camera angle but I don’t think the preview shows the whole 150 pictures though. But the only thing I would like to kindly request if you could increase the duration to 6:02 minutes (if possible) as that is the length of the track I have which I really like. And as for the budget, just let me know the cost you would like to charge for the exact layout you have it in the preview with 150 placeholder and text.
The thing is I’m off to bed now. It’s midnight now. Do you mind you try to work on it yourself first ? There is a tutorial on how to import and replace the images/videos in AE. It’s inside the tutorial folder and it is included. Because tml morning I am rushing my company’s project and I have no idea what time I can start yours. And the charge is around 250-300 due to a very tight deadline. If you don’t mind you can try to do it your own first by following the tutorial that I have created. Sorry for the inconvenient. I like the 150 images / videos you can use here. Question is whether the balance you show in the demo of videos (in the first third) to stills (in the latter part) is set or easily modifiable. My project has about half videos and half stills. So I would like more “lingering” video images. The still portion runs a bit quick to incorporate videos in those space, IMO.
It’s very easy to modify. Actually all the images you can change to videos. It’s all depends on you. But the duration of them is fix. Unless you know how to use after effects then you can adjust your own.
The section in the beginning that goes full screen and you are demo’ing videos I’d like to repeat after the photo wall plays out. I guess I can just do separate projects and stitch them together in Premiere?
That preview is showing you how the video will looks like, the flow of animation. Ya you can do it seperately and edit in premiere … It’s up to you

One other question, I went to change the output to Blu-ray and got a bunch of warnings how it would alter everything! Is Blu-ray an issue? The current setting is 1920×1080.
I’m not so sure about that. I never export it in Blu-Ray
Sorry to bug you, but just in case this is something simple… I have made many modifications and output several tests. After an extensive editing session last night, this morning’s low res draft movie @ 3:36 Just keeps hovering around Media 73 and does not progress to the normal end of the movie. It just floats around 73 for the duration. I never mess with “Final” or the Render screen. Is there something I may have turned off?
Anything, even a “you’re an idiot” would help get me through….

I have no idea why is that happening. Maybe your computer can’t handle the render. Or maybe you try to restart your comp and re-export again

I lost about a day’s worth of work, and just want to make sure I don’t do it again, or if it’s fixable, how to. NM on negative issue… figured that out.
I have watched the video that you posted in youtube. I probably know what causes the screen stuck at Media 73. It’s the camera layer I supposed. Maybe you shifted / accidentally move or animate the camera position. that’s why it is not moving and just spinning instead.

Do you have music, which fits to the 4 minute version or is the music only aligned to the 2 minute version only? Since I am completely new to adobe AE, I would not like to change the timing of all the pcitures but just keep everything aligned to the preset music.Thanks, Tillmann
Online the 2mins is synced with the music. And the music you need to purchase from audiojungle which I have the link with my item. Do check the link from my 3D photos slideshow page

I have one more question (I think then I have it all figured out). I am in the process of animating the frames (I am following your tutorial closely). However, I cannot get to the view where I can insert the mask. The bottom left shows the 1280×720 field but it starts with a field called “Shape Layer” and not with the video. How do I get there?
to be more specific, I think I do not understand this step in your tutorial (Animated Borders): “Export one version with borders first and drag it on the top layer”. What exactly do you mean with that?
which mean you need to export twice , one is the full video, the other one is just the borders (close all the effects and stuffs, and left borders layer on)
You need to select the comp first before you insert the mask

Hmmm … There is something wrong with ur cs6 maybe, or maybe some bugs occurs on ur after effects. There is no problem on these so far. Or maybe you try to open it in lower version or higher version of after effects ??

There is no problem even tho mac user bought this template . Then don’t have such issue . May I know are u new in after effects ? What you show me so far it won’t affects much on the project , it jus the colors and the borders only . If you know how to delete the expression , then it will be fixed
@nindoors19. I have found that the best way is to render using AE (6 hours while I sleep) into a quicktime file. import the quicktime file into Adobe Premiere. Edit as needed to include audio. I then export from Premiere into a wmv file (20 mins).

Thanks for the great template. Technically it is well structured and organized. In addition, it looks great. The one thing that could be improved is making the tutorials available in wmv and/or mp4 format.

Anyone who buys this template you will probably have to render it into a tiff sequence first and then have after effects make the tiff sequence into a video. I have a MacBook Pro Retina and it couldn’t handle rendering the 150 photo version into a video. I got mine rendered fine using a tiff sequence.
One other tip is to have Adobe Media Encoder render it for you. It works much better then After Effects to render.
