This is really very impressive. But for some strange reason ist extremly slow in AE CS6 and AE CC. It needing more time to switch between the frames then to render it.
Why is that? Maybe there is solution or some work around the increase the performance for CS6 and CC.
thx in advance.
The render time mostly depends on your graphics card. Please check the supported GPU list in the Element specifications.(https://www.videocopilot.net/products/element/) However the user guide contains the all thinkable resource optimization technique, which are works on lower performance card.
It works fine in After Effects CS5.5, good speed, good render times. (i use a 8core xeon 32HB RAM and a nivida Titan) The interaction between frames in CS6 and CC is extremly slow, same configuration, same computer.
Unfortunately I cannot test the project on a similar configuration, but this sounds like an expression handling difference between the software versions. Try to delete the 43rd layer (you will get warning messages of course) and please write me the result through my profile page. I can create a temporary patch if this will resolve the problem.
thx for responding i will do that after the xmas holidays! thx. i wish you a happy new year!
Thank you, I wish you too. I waiting for your response.
Látom a Magyarok is tudnak szépet alkotni.
Grat!
Legalábbis igyekszem… Köszi!
Hi, A project has been really impressive.
- We watch the video you’re buying the whole project?
- Earth and moon completely “Element 3D” was created in?
- When we zoom in the world can we see 4K details?
- NASA used a world map on the web page, or you have created?
Thank you.
The demo video is just a sample, which I made for testing all attributes of the project in one scene. This is an environment, you can modify actually anything. Earth and Moon completely created with Element 3D. The planet have lot of details with 4K textures, but if you have high end graphics card, you can increase the texture resolution, and details for closer shots. I created the textures based on the NASA BlueMarble datasets, but this is default textures only. You can create any Earth-like planet – Mars, Venus or fictional – if you change the textures.
Hi,
Great details!
Question, If I didn’t have the Optical Flares, the file can be used anyway (only without the flares)? That is right?
Cause I have Knoll Light Factory from Redgiant and can add them later with that software.
Regards, Jose
Hi Jose,
You can use the project without the Optical Flares, this is used only for the Sun – an AE light source displayed with a plugin. You may need to “translate” some properties of the Optical Flares if you use the Knoll Light Factory.
Ok Thanks.
If you have any further question, feel free to contact me through my profile page.
What do I exactly do with the TerraCustomEffect.XML file? Do I put it in a folder, do I drag and drop it into AE?
You don’t need to do anything with it. This is an advanced option only for changing the default values, or avoid the “Missing” notification, when you open the project. The effects will work without modifying PresetEffects.xml. The User Guide contains the information.
OK, all good edited the PresetsEffects XML file.
Excellent project, just what I was looking for, many thanks.
Thanks.
Hi, get a message saying “Terra Effect Missing” would suspect I need to do something with the XML file but don’t know what, can anyone please advise, thanks.
The effects will work without modifying PresetEffects.xml. The User Guide contains the information.
OK thanks
