I can’t make any change on the text. when i change it it comes back to the original text. I use CS6 and already used other videohive template. All of them had a video to explain how to make change., not yours. Very very disappointed…

The written instructions included are very basic, so I did not see the need for a video tutorial. Please edit your text in the Text Settings comp per the instructions. The text fields in the animation are linked via expressions to the Text Settings comp for easy editing.

Regarding your issue, you are most likely editing the text fields directly in the master timeline. Text is linked via expressions to the Text Settings comp where it says “Edit your text here”. Expressions will override any text you write in the master timeline.

I cant open it. I downloaded an AI file viewer and I can now see the icons in those folders but I still can’t get the video ….....helpppppppppppppppp please I bought this for a school project. The demo seemed simple and straight forward. please help

Sorry you’re having trouble. What program are you trying to use to edit the file? An AI viewer, or Adobe Illustrator itself, will only show you the vector icon files. What version of After Effects are you using? Are you getting a specific error from After Effects when you open the project file?

I should have specified that Rockwell is included on most desktop PCs. It is online for sale, so I don’t know if any sites offering it for “free” are legitimate. If you have trouble finding a copy, please send me a direct message.
Great project well done ! I am however having a slight problem replacing the smaller background icons (the ones that are located just in the Animation Final comp and do not have a comp of there own). When I drop one of my own icons into the comp I can not see how to copy the attributes from the old icons to the new one. Is there a easy way to do this that im not seeing? Thanks
You can drag another icon onto that layer to replace the media and keep its parameters. Select the layer on the timeline and drag the new icon from the Project bin to the layer while holding Option (Mac).

I prefer to use h264 Quicktime compression. That keeps file sizes down pretty well for me.

Great project easy to customize, I’m just having a slight problem resizing the text so it fits nicely on the composition. I also haven’t found a way to move the text location to the right or left. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Brian, great AE project. Bought and downloaded. No problems when changing text and colors. But I need to add an audio track and exporting it to a .mov file on my Mac. So I have imported the city.waw file to the project. I’ve tried many times, but even if I can see the audio.waw file in the project (upper left side and bottom timeline), once I export it, i cannot hear any sound when playing in quicktime. Can you help me please as I’m clueless? Thanks in advance

I’m sorry to keep you waiting. I must have overlooked your email. I apologize.
Instead of importing the audio file directly, right click on the existing audio track in the bin and go to Replace Footage > File. Then find the purchased music. The existing audio is silent and is used as a placeholder so that when replaced with the actual track, the edits I made to the music still exist.

I would like to purchase this, however I really need it to be about 60 seconds. Will it be difficult for me to add more areas for additional copy similar to where is says, “A world of media, with you in the middle” ? I do not have much experience with AE, but I am well versed in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
To be honest, it isn’t designed to be easily edited in that way. All the keyframe data is available to you, but it would require a bit of experience with After Effects to modify and double its length. You can always slow it down, of course, but if you want to add content, it’ll take a little work.
