It sounds like your Adobe Premiere preference needs to be reset. Sometimes, this gets corrupted and needs to be reset. Also, let’s clean a Media Cace while the file can get co we are at it.
1. Media Cache Clean.
Clear Media Cache In Premiere Pro: Go to Preferences> Media Cache, click the Delete button next to Remove Media Cache Files.
2. Preference File Fix.
Delete Premiere Pro Preferences (Warning this will delete Shortcut Keys and Reset Adobe Premiere Pro: Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while launching Premiere Pro. You can release the Alt key or Option key when the splash screen appears. A box will pop up asking you if you want to “Reset Preference File”. Select Yes. Here is a quick video on that:

If you updated to the new Premiere Pro 2025 and your extension does not load immediately it’s likely due to a communication error between the settings of the OS and Adobe Premiere Pro. The Extension should load almost instantly. If it does not, here is a quick and easy fix.
Close Premiere Pro.

Hello, Happy to help! So inside the troubleshooting, there is a quick fix if your operating system is loading the extension slow. It should load instantly. If it does not, there is a quick fix from Adobe. For Windows if that happens. Just download the fix in the troubleshooting txt. Otherwise just email me and I can send it to you.

Premiere Pro FX is fully integrated inside Premiere Pro. The Video Effects are animation-ready and you can double-click on whatever you want and it will go directly into your timeline in Premiere Pro. The Effects that are built all utilize Premiere Pro’s Effects System.
As you know, CINEPUNCH is a huge library VFX suite with a variety tools, presets, luts…etc. Everything is moreso disbursed into different packs such as 4K 6K 8K Video Overlays that you can download and import into your projects.
So, the two are separate, different and can work hand in hand creatively.

So, it may be your Adobe preference file for Adobe Premiere may need a reset, or possibly media cache in your system conflicting.
Let’s try these two solutions.

Just bought this and now I’m not able to save my premiere projects. I get this error “an unknown error occurred while saving the project” and it won’t allow me to save.
How can I solve this?
Hello, Happy to help. So that error has nothing to with the extension. That issue is a specific issue related to Adobe Premiere Pro.
That would be more of an issue with your file path of where you are saving the project, the drive where you are saving the project, or the space of where you saving the project.
Try saving the project to a different location as seen in this video.

Close Premiere Pro and the Extension if it is up. And close Premiere Pro.
Now,
Open Mac Terminal.
Copy And Paste: defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.11 PlayerDebugMode 1
Hit Enter
Now re-open Premiere Pro and see if the Premiere Pro Extension opens as it should.
