Hi. This is incredibly customizable! It would be even more useful if there was an easy way to make multilines of text. Right now the project and expressions are not really setup to easily accomplish that, which is a real bummer. The only way as far as I know, is to duplicate all comps and relink precomps that handles the text.
Of course, it is easily possible.
How to create multi-line text with Flipboard Typo Maker :
1.Drop the “Flipboard Controller” comp into your comp (“Flipboard Controller” comp located in ’ 01. Edit Comps > Colors ’ in “project” panel).
2.Duplicate the “Flipboard Controller” layer.
3.Expand each layer in the Timeline . (Click the small arrow to the left of each layer name).
4.Go to “Essential Properties > Insert Text Here” (The Essential Graphics properties are located in the Timeline panel under the “Flipboard Controller” layer’s transform properties).
5.Alt-click (Windows) or Option-click (Mac) on the stopwatch icon next to ‘Insert Text Here’. This enables expressions on the text.
6.In the expression field, type your new text inside quotes for each , for example:”My New Text” & Press Enter or click outside the box to apply the change .
Thanks for the tip! I ended up using True comp duplicator for more control over each text line.
I can’t get this working in AE 2025 … I can’t display the Duration, Letters & Spacing settings … most frustrating. I can see it appears briefly when I click the Libraries workspace then the panel disappear and shows the Flapboard Typo Maker settings instead, (01. Edit Comps, 0.2 Final Comps etc).

I have it working now … but I don’t upderstand how to make it cycle through different words. The tutorial only explains how to set up the initial text
It is flashing up 666 when I created a word CAT … How do I control what letters / numbers are showing during the so called random cycle?

Hello, thank you for trusting us. To solve the problem, go to the Project Settings section at the bottom of the “Project” panel and change the Expression Engine to JavaScript on the Expressions tab
I just checked, and it is set to JavaScript. I switched it back and forth, but no change. The Final Comp never has the same font as the “Insert Text Here” screen, even when first opened. The font isn’t correct until I go all the way into a “Card” Top/Bottom Precomp.
I sent the new update download it whenever its confirmed !

It is still showing as the last update and downloading the 2/11 version. I redownloaded it to reconfirm, and after changing the font the numbers are still there. Hopefully, it will be updated by tomorrow.
