Hello! Your specs seem a bit outdated but this doesn’t mean you won’t be able to run the kit. You may encounter some short of delay though. After Effects 2020 have improved performance in accordance with updated pc features. Please advice Adobe official forum for more details concerning this matter.

Please keep in mind that no matter how powerful your machine is, After Effects has its own way of proccesing things.That means, moving rigged characters is always slower than moving simple layers. Therefore 10 characters can be a lot or a few depending on the requiremnets that AE handles.

What you Can do though is: - Plan the scenes that you want your video to have. - Select everything you want from the script, modify your characters the way you want. - After you have all the elements and animations you need, select your Main composition in the project panel. - Go to File>Dependencies>Collect files - Then choose “Selected comps” and tick “Reduce Project”.

That way you’ve created another project file, with all the elements you want. A much “Lighter” one.

Now you can continue to edit it, modify the expressions by hand, change colors and texts but you wont be able to use the script.

the kit is built in a way to cover most of design aspects. By combining elements you have so many possibilities that you are not restricted only on the ready made scenes that are included.

Our philosophy is to offer a wide range of graphic elements that can be used together in varius combinations to compose any kind of illustration.

Apparently there is always the objective part of designing that makes creations unique. For sure the base we have created can give you thousands of creative options and we aim higher than that by enriching the kit with even more graphic libraries.

In your example perhaps you could combine the desert Scene with seperate different houses in different scale, earth colors and nature elements like rocks, sand hills and sunny lighting. Of course you can always add your own graphics into the scene to enhance uniqueness.

Really enjoying the toolkit – I’m not that a big expert with after effects and cant quite master changing the object a character is holding. Is there a tutorial on that?

Hello! If your design is similar to the shape/height of the FrameStory character then yes it would be possible to adapt. BUT if your design excceeds the skin “borders” of the FS character then you will encounter some rigging issues.

It is recommended to use the characters included in the toolkit and work on the designs based on the existing rigging system.

There are so many elements to combine and play around that you might be able to create exactly your AI characters.

16 GB RAM, i7 is the minimum requirements for macs that AE 2020 runs smoothly. Please keep in mind that After Effects has its own way of proccesing things.That means depending on the specs has different performance.

In your case your mac specs are lower than the AE 2020 recommended so I am afraid this is the main problem. Performance in macs can even be affected from language version. For example English North America version has better performance than International English. Again this refers ONLY to mac users.

We have thoroughly tested the kit in AE 2018, 2019, 2020 in Mac Book Pro 2015, 16GB, Core i7 and works perfect. (but not in i5/8GB as it is not in Adobe requirements)

Despite that please first of all make sure you are following the Quick Start instructions and keep in mind this:

“Before you open the script please wait until the project is fully loaded and the white background in the Preview window appears. After you reach that state then open the script.”

Concidering the specs of your mac that action would take more than a minute.

Also please try to boost AE performance by choosing Edit>Preferences>Media & Disk Cache and change the Maximum Disk Cache Size to the maximum (it is necessary to close all other programs to take better effect)

I just figured out what I was doing wrong when I woke up. I had the project files, Adobe After Effects and OS all on one drive. I moved the project files to a different drive and everything is working perfectly now. Great product 5 stars!

Hello Robin! We finally detected the error and thank you for helping us το spot it! It is a bug that occurs when you use AE in languages other than English. That means that you can still perfectly use the kit in English version of AE while we are uploading the bug fixing update that soon will be available for download after Envato’s approval.
