Hi! I need to work on the current resolution : 5760×1080 (for ultra wide panel LEDs) Is it possible to adapt the project for this resolution? I tried to change the comp, but end result looks stange. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks !

I see. What about the black edges (top and bottom black) which will appear in the project. Will it affect the effects and results ?

The black edges can be cropped just before exporting. (change Composition size)

Thanks for your reply. I’ll try on my end. If I bump into issues, I’ll definitely contact you.

I don’t know how to install this extension after purchasing it

Hello and thank you for your purchase. VoluMax doesn’t need to be installed, just open the VoluMax.aep file with After Effects and watch the included video tutorials to get on tracks ! ;)

Hi, Just purchase your Volumax – Problem on Export Preset to Media Adobe Encoder. It says The project could not be opened. Please help! I’m currently using Adobe After Effects CC 2020

Hello and thank you for your purchase. It seems you are having a link issue between AE and Media Encoder. This is not related to Volumax. A lot of users have problems using the 2020 version, 2019 and 2018 are more stable. After a rapid search on Adobe official forums here are things you can try:

1/ Flush disk and memory cash. Close, open retry. 2/ save your project with a new name or import it in a new project 3/ uninstall and reinstall AE 2020 4/Or if nothing works use cc2019 instead.

I hope this helped, CC 2020 randomly bugs on some configurations and a lot of motion designers avoid using it. Personally it works perfectly here.

Just download AE 2019 and AME 2019 works perfectly. Thanks a lot! Really appreciate for your fast response..

I am glad to hear that ! Have Fun and take care.

Hello

How would I make the Volumax controller move in a circular motion?

Hello and thank you for your purchase, can you contact me in private so I can explain you with screenshots if needed : https://videohive.net/user/cream-motion or we can Chat live here: https://www.messenger.com/t/creammotion

Which of your products is Apple Motion compatible?

Another question, I only buy a regular license once and can post multiple video projects on youtube, instagram, facebook, etc? I don’t charge any clients…this is only for my use to show on my social media channels. This is not a one time use license?

Hello, none of my products are compatible Apple Motion sorry. The regular license is okay for you for personal use and unlimited pictures.

Should I resize images to 4k prior to bringing them into AE? The current image I’m using is smaller. I resize it in the Your Picture comp but then it doesn’t resize in any of the other comps. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Hello and thank you for your purchase.

You don’t need to resize the picture before importing in VoluMax, just make your picture fit in “Your Picture” Composition (no more black).

Bonjour.

UK: Yes Volumax is compatible with Adobe after effects Cs6 to CC 2020

Hello, I would like to know how it works the license. I mean I want to purchase the product, but in two months I will change my computer. So, if I install it in my old computer, do I need to purchase again another license for my new computer? REgards, Jordi

Hello, don’t worry the license is attached to the user and not to the computer, you can change it as many times you want ;)

If you have any other question please feel free to ask.

Hi I wanted to ask if any After Effect plugins like Element 3D are required for this to work? Looking forward to purchasing on your response. Thanks

Hello, you don’t need any plugin to work with Volumax. You just need Adobe After Effects (Cs6 to actual version).

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Hello, I just purchased this amazing product ! What would be the correct workflow to export custom resolution with this tool ? Do i need to change all the comps/layers sizes ? Thank you for your help

Hello and thank you for your purchase !

I don’t recommend changing the resolution of the workflow compositions, it won’t work anymore. But there is a easy way to export with a custom resolution: choose and open the closest resolution comp in “Export Presets” and change the resolution before exporting.

Hello looking for volumax 5.3 as featured in https://youtu.be/fjV63nElMhk is it available yet?

Hello and thank you for your purchase! The 5.3 update is still in “work in progress” but it should be released soon ;). I am sorry for being late on this one. All the customers will automatically receive a mail with a download link of the new version.

Dear Team, I just heard that there is a discount for that but unfortunately i did not see it !! Thank you

Hello and thank you for your interest. The discount is finished but I am sure there will be other promotions this year ;)

Thank you so much, I’ll wait :)

I just purchased today and have been trying to use it for a quick project and there are a couple of issues. The render time is fine, but it takes literally 10 minutes to save the project before I render. I was also not able to open the 2019 version of the project without freezing After Effects. I had to open the 2018 version and convert it. I have no idea why the save function takes so long, but have not had time yet to troubleshoot that.

Hello and thank you for your purchase.

Well this is unusual, It seems you have an issue with your After Effects installation, saving the Volumax project file takes 5 to 10 seconds… Try to empty the AE cache and check if you have enough space on your hardrive. You can also try to import the volumax.aep file in a new project file, save, close, reopen and test.

To be honest I really think there is a problem with your After effects version or OS. Uninstall AE and try to reinstall AE cc 2019 or even cc2018 (more stable).

All the best, Gaëtan.

I am looking to animate water – i can’t find anywhere in the tutorials provided on how to use the character animator, or how to animate water. Please advise.

Hello and thank you for your purchase !

VoluMax was not specifically designed to animate water but you can do it easely with standard After Effects tools. And to animate characters I use the included AE tool named Puppet Tool.

Check the included VoluMax tutorial named “10 – Case Study – The Turtle.mp4” , I show how to animate water and a character. ;)

hello is instagram story format also possible (portrait format ) ?? and square for stories ??

Yes you can export in all common formats and even custom if needed, limited to a maximum of 4k resolution.

I just started with volumax and it’s great. The question I have is how can I work with multiple comps in same project. For instance if I bring in a portrait of person A and create and export a final product, how then can I do one for person B? There is only one main comp 4K to work from and that already will have my person A info in there?

Hello and thank you for your purchase !

Keep in mind that transforming a picture in a 3D animation is a heavy process for After Effects and having multiple pictures to animate in the same file would create heavy and slow projects. Thats why the best way to work is to create one .aep file per picture. I personally export one high quality video file per animated picture and then import them all in Adobe Premiere for the final export, thats how the official trailer of VoluMax was created. ;)

One other question. If I wanted to add a box around the preset text layer and match it to the animation in the main comp how would i do that? Do i need to track to a specific layer?

Can you send me a mail here: https://videohive.net/user/cream-motion

Paste your question in the form. This might need some screenshots exchange by mail to understand.

I am part of an internal video team for my company, I make videos for our companies products, only I make the videos (so 1 person). Would I need a regular or extended license for this? Thanks.

Hello and thank you for your interest. The only difference between the licenses is that the Extended license allows you to charge your clients for creating animations for them, you or your company owns money with VoluMax. The regular license is more useful for personal works, showreels, family videos… I hope I answered to your questions.

We are not charging anybody for creating the animations, we are creating them for our company.

If it is for self promotion then regular is okay. ;)

I want to buy this product but I need clarification on the usage terms. It seems like I can only use this product one time and if I want to use it again I will have to buy it again. Is that true?

Hello, you can animate unlimited number of pictures as VoluMax is a toolkit. The only difference between the licenses is that the Extended license allows you to charge your clients for creating animations for them, you are allowed to sell the work done with Volumax. The regular license is more useful for personal works, showreels, family videos… I hope I answered to your questions.

Ok Great! One more question…does the standard license cover using the template to create content for social media for my job, which is a non-profit? My employer is the one buying it.

Well if the work is self promotion and is not sold to a final customer then yes the regular license is okay. ;)

Hello, thanks for the great template, do you have news on when version 5.3 is goig to be released?

Hello and thank you for your purchase and feedback! Working on it but no official date sorry.

Hi! Thanks for making this amazing tool! I purchased and had a lot of fun with it. However it seems like the program only supports up to 4000×2000, which is a little bit less than what I need. My task is to turn photos taken from smartphones into 3D photos and print them on lenticulars. The photos normally have at least (3000×4000) pixels. Scaling the photos down to fit the composition is not an option for me due to the high resolution requirement of 3D photo prints. Is there any workaround I can try? Thank you!!

Hello and thank you for your purchase and feedback.

Maximum resolution of VoluMax is 4K (3840×2160) and everything was designed to match with this maximum resolution and below without loosing speed. Going higher by changing the composition settings will not work and will break the 3D process.

You can still try something, at export time set the resolution you desire and activate the “Use Maximum resolution” button in Adobe Media Encoder parameters, AE is smart nowadays and might upscale the sources to raise quality, but export times will be longer.
