Where is the 8mm / old film effect. That’s all I wanted out of this. I don’t see it anywhere in the AE files.
Check the footage folder.

Just bought the Old Film Titles project…description says Old Timey music is included…I don;t see it in the download. Where is it?

I think it’s reasonable to expect that someone buying an After Effects template will expect to be able to edit the text right in After Effects.
It’s annoying that the template is just a bunch of PNG layers and that creating my own titles means starting from scratch in Photoshop.
If the text was editable, I’d give it 5 stars. But, with PNG files? This shouldn’t be more than $5.
Sorry. I know you probably put a lot of work into it. But I’m not thrilled.

Great work. How do I apply the fade in/fade out effect and the gradient effect to my Photoshop slides that I bring into AE. Sorry, I am a beginner. Thanks,
Open up the photoshop document and adjust the text. Then you can select that text. ( cntrl click the layer) and add that texture to it. Google how to add textures to text or cut out from a text layer. Be sure to save it as a png. File. That will give it the transparent bg.
Import it into AE. To fade in and out just adjust the opacity.

Wow! Really cool project mate….
I posted that project a while ago so I don’t fully remember. And I don’t have it in front of me at the moment. Have you referred to the info guide included in the package? I believe you edit the slides in PS then import into AE, or the text layers may be in a pre-comp. if so, double click the text precomp and edit the text there.

i am having trouble editing the text. How do I edit the png files? It wont let me select the text.

sure. Go to oldradioworld.com You can listen and I believe download old radio shows. I have to search through a few to find what I liked. Here is a link to the one I used. The music is about 5:30 min in.
