Greetings, I just purchased your Epic Movie Intro. When I try to open it Im getting the following error messages: 1. After Effects: this project must be converted from version 11.0 (windows 64) The original file will be unchanged. 2. Warning: This project uses fonts that are not currently available on this computer. 3. After Effects warning: 21 files are missing since you last saved this project. 4. File “Epic_Movie_Intro.aep” is locked. YOu cant save any changes to this file. Not sure why Im getting these messgaes. When I click OK on all of them It brings me to the viewer screen on Adobe but I only see a screen with a bunch of colors.
Thanks for your purchase! The file is archived and must be extracted (unzipped) to your computer’s hard drive before it can be opened with After Effects.
Thanks for the timely reply. I’m a beginner user so forgive the elementary questions. It looked like the unzipped worked. Do I import all the videos into Ae? Any particular order?
I imported and watch all 21 of the files individually. The “Epic Movie” Logo which comes across the film reel is not in any of the 21 files I have. Lastly when I import all the files (no particular order) together, only one is shown on the viewer screen. Im thinking there is a particular order to which to import the files?
Ok I think I figured it out. I have 21 files but I only need 2 of the 21 (the rest seem to be extra footage). galaxy_background.mov and film_reel.mov. However I am missing the file with the logo text.
The logo text is built into the title tool inside of After Effects. Which version are you using?
I am using Adobe After Effects CC Version 15.1.2 (Build 69).
Shouldn’t the Logo text come as a rendered file Just like the film_reel.mov and the galaxy_background.mov?
No, if the logo text was pre-rendered you would not be able to personalize it with your own title, company name, tagline, etc.
Oh no, I didn’t realize that. I thought that was the purpose of the”Edit Logo Tutorial” file, to personalize/edit the logo. Without being able to add a title similar to the way you do your company name, Im afraid this intro becomes useless. How do I get this accomplished exactly the way its done in your advertisement?
Yes, follow the instructions in the “Edit Logo Tutorial” video to personalize the logo. Simply position the Current Time Indicator to the :20 second mark and use the Text Tool to change the logo text/tagline. Everything you need to edit the template is included.
Ok Maybe I need the “for dummies instructions” I am still having difficulty seeing any text. 2 Questions: Which files of your 21 should I be importing into After Effects? Is there a particular order they should go in on the timeline?
You do not need to import any files. Simply double-click the file labeled Epic_Movie_Intro.aep to open with After Effects. Then, follow tutorials 1-6.
i get 4 error messages when opening that file 1-This project must be converted from version 11.0 (Windows 64). The original file will be unchanged. 2-Ray-traced 3D: out of paged mapped memory for ray tracer. Your project may exceed GPU limits. Try closing other applications. Try updating the CUDA driver. 3-Ray-traced 3D: Cannot create context for ray tracer 4-File Epic_Movie_Intro.ape is locked. You can’t save any changes to the file.. Sorry for all the back and forth. Thanks for all your help on this.
Please send further help requests to support@motiontoolz.com
Is it possible to make this @60fps could you please respond i want to purchase this right now but i just want the option to make it @60fps instead of 29.97fps
Thanks for your question. This template includes pre-rendered elements @29.97fps, therefore it is not possible to convert it to 60fps.
Oh ok i’m still going to get it i can dig it! Thanx for such an awesome template
Thank you!
Hey i was wondering how do i remove “An Envato Company” logo i tried to remove it but even after i delete the layer i still see like an faded “An Envato Company” logo on the template still. Like is there something else i have to delete to delete it off the template completely?
Please send me a help request via support@motiontoolz.com and I willbe glad to help you figure it out!
Nevermind i fixed it. Now i just rendered the two clips it took about 17mins to render then i rendered both clips together in premiere now the fun happens thanx for this dope template my guy!
Great, I’m so glad everyting worked out!
I am using MAC OSX version 10.13.4 with QuickPlayer version 10.4. However, i received an error when importing film reel and glint files. I think those files are not compatible with the latest version of quick player on MAC. Could you fix it? I don’t know how to fix this … Thanks
Please let us know if this can be fixed for MAC and AE version 15.1.2. I was trying to convert the codec by QuickTime. The project loads but the background becomes completely black … Seems like alpha channel is broken …
Some QuickTime legacy codecs may be missing in your version of After Effects.
To enable the codecs, follow these steps based on your Mac: Exit After Effects > Click the Apple Menu > Select System Preferences > Select QuickTime > Click the Advanced tab > Select Show legacy encoders > Close System Preferences
Please make sure to open the original project file and not the one with the files that you converted.
Hi @SUPER-8, I could not find Quick time icon in system preference. In latest version of MAC, quick time is part of the Operation System. The instruction you provided was for the old Leopard according to this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3628786. Please help me to fix the codec for latest Mac OS …
I’m sorry for your inconvenience. I think the problem may be with the JPEG2000 codec in the film reel and glint movies. Please contact me via support@motiontoolz.com and I will send you replacement files rendered as .PNG movies.
NP. I’ve sent you an Email from my gmail account. Please send us the replacement file at earliest possible. Thanks
Thank you! Please expect to receive the replacement files immediately via WeTransfer.com
Got it and it renders well with the rest of the project files. Thank you!
this is a great support experience!
Glad to know we worked it out, thanks again for your purchase!
saying there’s a problem with the film reel and glint files? They aren’t loading with the proejct?
Some QuickTime legacy codecs may be missing in your version of After Effects. To enable the codecs, follow these steps based on your computer platform (PC or Mac):
For Mac OS X: Exit After Effects > Click the Apple Menu > Select System Preferences > Select QuickTime > Click the Advanced tab > Select Show legacy encoders > Close System Preferences
For Windows XP: Exit After Effect > Click Start > Control Panel > Double-click QuickTime > Click the Advanced tab > Under Media Encoding, check Enable encoding using legacy codecs > Click OK
For Windows Vista: The procedures in this document are based on the default interface of Windows Vista. If the interface is customized, some procedures might vary. For example, a commonly encountered difference is the navigation to Control Panel from the Start menu: You might navigate Start > Settings > Control Panel instead of Start > Control Panel.
Exit After Effects > Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Double-click QuickTime > Click the Advanced tab > Under Media Encoding check Enable encoding using legacy codecs > Click OK
no it’s not that. It’s missing and corrupt files. The source has no importable streams, Please check that it is a valid video/audio file.
Have you properly extracted the project from the compressed file?
Also, please open After Effects first and then import the project directly (File > Import > File). Then, save the project with a new name (Epic Movie Intro 2),
neither of these are doing it. It’s 100% a problem with the file. The main video and the glint stuff are both corrupted and I’m getting multiple errors trying to open import the project.
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed? Also, which version of AE are you using?
Hi,i have a problem when i open the proyect with after effects CC 2017 ,said Film_Reel and Glint_1 damage o unsupported … You have a solution?
Some QuickTime legacy codecs may be missing in your version of After Effects. To enable the codecs, follow these steps based on your computer platform (PC or Mac):

I fix this, when you have this error you need to have quicktime downloaded in your pc so thanks for your proyect man
You’re very welcome!
Hello, thank you for this great opener. However before modifying it I’m getting this error when opening the Project: 86§1 and I can’t see any Video after it finaly imported. How can I solve that issue? thanks
Thanks for your purchase! Please make sure to extract the files from the .zip file before opening with After Effects. Also, please make sure you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer.
Hi your works really awesome… I wanted to ask you can I put Logo instead of text?
Thanks for your kind words. The project is designed for text, but an experienced After Effects user could easily replace the text with a logo.
This looks amazing! But unfortunately the render time was going to be over 20 hours, so I could not use it
What if I get a better graphics card but have an Intel Core i5 CPU 750 2.67 ghz with 11 gb of RAM? Will this render? right now without upgrading my graphics card it’s going to take 37 hours to render. And who knows if I’ll get an error before it’s through.
Is your graphics card list up to date? Does it except the… NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 2GB
Such a shame. I tried to make this work but I couldn’t. My system can’t handle it.
Amazing work. =) GuitarNation
Thank you so much!
Dear Super -8, I bought your product yesterday.I work on Cyberlink Power Director 14. I have no idea how it works with Power Director. Please help me to set up. Thank you.
Thanks for your purchase! Simply put, you cannot import an After Effects project file or composition into any NLE except Premiere Pro, but you can import and use any video you render from After Effects into any NLE if the file you render is a standard video format supported by your NLE.
It is a good practice to pick a suitable frame based format for your After Effects render rather than a highly compressed format like h.264 or MPEG because the quality will be better.
Check out this Adobe Forum link: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1819700
My Pc Spec i7 6700k 16 gb ram NO SSD How much take time ?
I have a computer with similar specifications and it takes about 3.5 hours to render. Of course, render times will vary for all computer systems. I can also edit & render the template for a fee. Please contact me via support@motiontoolz.com to discuss your specific needs.
Hey there i get 2 error when loading this in AE CS6 the first one is http://prntscr.com/ch6w2i and the second one is http://prntscr.com/ch6wn4
this is making it so there is no movie_reel.mov or whatever mean while i can open it up in VLC media player and it plays just fine?? but i get that error when i try and add it manually to the project, please advise the issue? I Need this in the next short while or ill have to buy another project because of my timeline.
Anyone else with this issue, install quicktime and it will fix it, after a format i didn’t have it installed.
Thanks for your purchase, glad to see the issue is resolved.
Hi i purchased this from you as it looked great however i cant get it to work it is very slow in editing and it wont render more than 1 second, i keep getting error 1610153453 i have been round lots of forums and still no joy, my system is windows 7 processor amd a8 apu with radeon hd graphichs 3.6ghz 64 bit system please help
Thank you for your purchase! This issue seems to be related to certain rendering formats. Selecting a different format (other than Quicktime) seems to resolve the error. Please try to render in a different format to see which one works for you. In the meantime, I’ll keep investigating this to find a better solution.
Hola buenas noches.
Hello Goodnight. Buy the project but when opened in After Effects CS6 I noticed with surprise that the files (Film_Reel.mov / glint_1.mov) are damaged and not allow me to edit it. I would like to get help on the case or return the money.
MAL SERVICIO.
It seems incredible to believe that you sell on this platform products such damage. The score gave it because it is what one deserves and expects the project will be freely downloaded without any problem. And I’m not asking for help, I’m asking for a solution for that and paid for the service and it is your responsibility that everything is in perfect condition.
BAD SERVICE.
I’m so sorry you feel that way, I wish I could help you. Thanks again for your purchase and have a great day!
Hi. I have just purchased and I am having issues. Moving the playhead anywhere on the timeline generates various Ray Traced 3D errors. “out of page mapped memory”.. alongside others. I have 32Gb RAM, an i5, and GTX960 2Gb. I have checked graphics options and Cuda is enabled. I have updated today to latest Cuda drivers. Can you please advise? Thanks.
Hello, thanks for your purchase! Unfortunately, it seems your GTX960 graphics card is not supported by Adobe for ray-traced 3D rendering.
Here is a list of cards supported by Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/system-requirements.html#supported-gpus-aftereffects
Sadly it appears my graphics card is ‘too new’ to support this. Very disappointing.
Please contact me at support@motiontoolz.com and I’ll see what I can do to help.
Hello super-8 I bought your fine product. But it does not work as it should. I have tried it in CS6 on Mac and Windows. Have also tried it in the CC2015. ( i get the same error in alle versions) I follow the guide that accompanies it. The problem is that in after effects shows only black screen in preview.
I tried to look at the animation folder, and Film_reel.mov it’s just all black I try to conventions to another format, I get the message error, that there are errors in the file Film_reel.mov.
I do not know if it’s in the downloading something goes wrong · I’ve tried to Download the Project 2 times.
I’d will love to have it work, because it looks good tour work.
with best regards Lars Hansen
Hi Super i fix it, so all is fine now. thanks.
Thanks for your purchase, glad to hear everything works!
Hi SUPER-8 There is still a small problem. when I render the the mov fil. it take a lot of time and, after effect close and say the file stops becomes of an error in the fil or is corrupt. I still suspect the Film_reel.mov. but i well try agen tomorrow. I let you know.
Best regards Lars Hansen
This template utilizes the ray-trace 3D rendering engine inside After Effects for realistic reflections and curved geometry. These properties are extremely render instensive, so render speed depends on many factors including your computer specifications. When working with ray-traced 3D compositions, it is important to have the proper hardware installed in your computer to work smoothly. We recommend an NVIDIA video diplay card with on-board CUDA technology for working with compositions with GPU acceleration.
See this link for suggested GPU settings: GPU
I like your work. As I’m absolutely new to After Effects, I wanted to know if your project comes with instructions
Thank for your question, yes this project comes with 7 detailed video tutorials!
Thank you
Super-8, we having problem with this. Within After Effect we can see the text in 3D, but once we render it in Media Encoder, the text is flat 2D, please help.
Thanks for your purchase! This template utilizes the Ray-traced 3D renderer inside After Effects for realistic reflections and curved geometry in the titles, therefore the template must be rendered inside After Effects.
