Hello, good afternoon, I’m making a presentation and I need to use the country of MEXICO and highlight 32 states, I practically have to make 32 points (each point per state), and at each state point I will have to put images of people, which is a little complicated, but is this possible? Hello the script doesn’t include these 32 Mexico states but just the Mexico country. I’m sorry

Hello, yes you can create 32 points. About your 32 states: the project contains an .ai file with all world countries subdivided in layers. You should open this ai file in illustrator, create 32 new layers and draw a region on each one, then save the ai file and reload it on After Effects. Now you have 32 new states that obviously can’t be controlled by the script, in your case you should manually choose the color and animate the opacity of your regions. Best regards

I speak against my interests, but if you never used after effects I suggest you to not start with this template, it could be very tricky if you don’t have basic skills in AE at least…

Please forgive my ignorance. I have downloaded this project twice (once from the invoice page, once from my paid downloads page). There are only five files in the ZIP. None of the image files are there. Only the AEP and jsx. Where can I find the other files?

Pre-sale question regarding the COUNTRIES HIGHLIGHTS:
Can I change the length of the HIGHLIGHT IN/OUT transition? or it’s fixed, like 15frames or something? Also, can I change the TRANSITION TYPE from regular FADE IN/OUT to a “FLICKER TYPE” for example, or use my own expression to built a specific transition?

Hello you can choose the duration of the highlight. The script has a button that works like a switch (on – off) so you can decide when turn on and when turn off the highlight. The script creates 2 keyframes to the country opacity to create the fade in and fade out. If you want to use your own expression for a blink effect you don’t need to use this function from the script but you have to manage the opacity of the country by yourself with your expression in the composition that contains all countries of the world.

Hello, the script and the project have been updated, you can download it again. Unfortunately the project was changed so you can’t use the new script with the old project, it means that if you have already start a project with the old one you have to restart from scratch with the new one. Thank you

2) If I zoom to one city, can I add my own city map (.png or .ai)? Because at the end of the animation I want to zoom to Budapest with the city shape and with image tabs, call-outs.

Ciao, great project! A couple of pre-sales questions:
1) – Can I highlight multiple countries at the same time, like all of Scandinavia or for example Germany and France (at the same time) if I wanted to?
2) – Can I highlight regions or provinces within non-US countries? Like in China or India for example?
3) – If yes to above, can I highlight old maps? Like this one of the Spanish Empire: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e4/Spanish_Empire-World_Map.png) highlighting Spanish America or Spanish Southern Italy in the 1700s for example ?
4) – And can I add videos instead of images, in the image tabs?

Hi, sorry I didn’t read this comment. I don’t know if I’ve understood your question… you can add your custom map of course, but the map must be in 2D, you can’t place a 3D map. Is it your question?

Is it possible to change the name of the connection? (i.e. “Connection 360352” to “LAX-SIN” it seems to break when I try. Also can you change the name of the points? Anything else effected by changing the name?

Imagine some connected points on the ground and a satellite (as icon) in the “sky”, also connected to the points on the ground. Is that possible?
Hi, sorry for my delay, yes you could simply add your icon in the composition, turn it to 3D, then copy the position of the pin to your icon. in this way the icon will be in the same position of the pin, now you just have to increase the Y position value to move it in the sky. Thank you
