Hi, amazing project! I’m still just getting started but I wanted to know if I can customize the pins, as in an image instead of the 10 pins that are include. I see that you can use image tabs that pop up with information but I’d like to also add an image on the pin or just upload a new custom pin. Is this possible?
Hi, thank you for purchasing earth map connections. Yes you can do it: open the folder called “PROJECT ASSETS (don’t touch)” then the “PINS” folder and open a composition like “Pin style 1”. Now hide the active layer and place here your custom pin. At this point you can select the pin style 1 using the script and your custom pin will be displayed.

Is this able to make multiple connections per location point, similar to a contagion connection map?
Yes of course but keep in mind that the script can create infinite connections but the rendering time increase, so if you create hundreds of connections the project will be very slow and after effects could crash

The Earth Map Connections v2_1.jsxbin script is not working on my mac. Are customers eligible for refunds if the product does not work as advertised? The product description says the script has been tested on Mac and PC, but I’ve tried everything I can think of and it still won’t work. Thoughts???
It works on Mac and pc. If you are working on Mac and after effects doesn’t see the jsxbin file from the “run script” method you have to copy the jsxbin file into Application/adobe after effects/scripts, then close and open after effects, go to file -> scripts and you will see the earth map connections in the list of the installed scripts.
Found the answer! Had to delete “bin” at the end of the .jsxbin script file name in order to activate it.
Will there be a 4K mode of this project?

Hello, before buying I just have a few quesitons: 1. Can this be used for Youtube videos? I mean, there won’t be any copyright issues with the maps featured in this software? 2. Also, is the regular license enough when you monetize your videos on Youtube? 3. Above all, is it easy to use for somebody with basic knowledge of After Effects (I understand that’s hard to answer, but maybe you have an opinion :-))? Thanks!

Connection Line Comp’s name can be like this: “Connection Point 5 to Point 6”
Hello no I’m sorry you cannot rename the connections compositions otherwise you will break all expressions generated for these connections
I suggest you to add a comment line on the connection composition in the project window

Hi botino, I’m sorry for that but only the envato staff can approve a refund , so I suggest you to contact them. Anyway I know that a refund can be approved only if your bank confirm that your credit card has been hacked and someone has used your money for purchasing envato items, but in your case you purchased this item more than 2 months ago and I think if you say that you have never used this product…it is not a good reason for requesting a refund. Anyway try to contact the staff.
