I can’t get the script tow work on CC2019. Nothing appears in the drop down menus for Font and style and I occasionally get a script error
Hi, yes you need to open the motion Text Maker aep file first, then run the script. The script need to access item in the project.

Hey, I’m experiencing a problem with this script… I’ve been using it for quite some time now and love it- I just upgraded to cc18 and now I can’t verify the license. After inputting my purchase code, I get an error that says “Unable to connect to server.” I’d appreciate some help, I made sure to check that scripts are allowed to access the net, etc. Thanks in advance.

Do I need to open the project that was included and run the script every time to use this? I’m having issues with the Style and Font menu, not being able to see any options.
Update: The only way I can get the plugin to work is to load the included project into a new project, and then run the script.

Yes. The script to load layer preset from the project. You also can import the project aep into other project and then run the script.
Things are mostly working correctly it seems. However I am missing MTMStyle Type A in my version.
I tried to reinstall and just about everything else, anyone else have this issue?
Type A animation, you can look at the project panel for the comps. It does not require a script.
I have some problems with this script with the current AE Build v15.1.0 (b166). The script doesn’t work and a alert says the script is not executable at line 89.

I have to say, though the creator can be helpful, this script IS NOT RELIABLE ENOUGH TO USE IN A PROFESSIONAL PROJECT. It randomly decides to stop allowing me to edit my text, and sometimes reinstalling and restarting my machine works, and sometimes it doesn’t. When the script is working it often places letters at arbitrary positions while rendering so I have to purge my cache and re-render. The effects look cool, and when its working it will save you a bunch of time, but all in all I would not recommend using this on a serious project.
Hi! Thank you for your feedback! I’m sorry for the difficulties you have, To use this script, first you need to open the motion Text Maker aep and then run the script. To edit text, make sure the text animator is active. if the current active comp is not an ‘animator’ comp, it will not allow to edit.
yes, i am aware of that and have used it in two projects so far. my comment is regarding it’s reliability when used as per your instructions. I’m currently waiting for a project to render for the fifth time in a row hoping there are no ‘glitches’ where letters are in arbitrary positions. At this point this script has cost me more time than it has saved me.

I’m sorry to hear that. If any glitch happened, Purge cache may be helpful to refresh the expression and position.
It will be very helpful if you could tell us which effects have you used on your very first scene[ where text glitch effect] and middle[ when you say”change to any font ] and background images that you used on first scene. Thank you

Hi, Effect for first scene text is Type A, (see the project panel), Change to any font” also use Type A.

I was hopping you could tell the the first background image link. it’s not the cloud. It’s multi color dots spreaded background image.

You can get run the script via File> Script> Run Script FIle..
and browse the MTscript_MTM.jsxbin (you can see video 01)

I cant get the “Text Animator 2” style from the video (7 seconds in) to look the same. All of the generated letters are very close together, not spread out like they are in the example.

Hi, thank you for the plugin, it’s great. I am getting an error though – sometimes the plugin stop working when i click on any button. There is nothing in the dropdown menues anymore. Is there any way to fix this without having to start a new project file?
