Great Animation package! I was wondering if you had any more characters for sale?
Hy Patrick, unfortunately not, this is the first character pack for me
I hope in the future I can create more packs like this but now they are my only characters for sale.
nice project, Im trying to modify the model sheet (Bob one) but somehow it got cropped in AE. For example I change the eye (right_eye_base1) and create a bigger eye in photoshop, in AE it only shown a little part of it.. the same thing happened with eyebrow, and body.. Im currently just editing the front part
Hy jeaje,
In After Effects you can resize the composition which include the right_eye_base_1. In the project window open this composition:
01_Character_Setup/001_Character_Elements/01_Head_Elements/01_Head1/right_eye_base1 – double click.
If your PSD file layer is bigger than this composition you can resize it:
Composition/Composition Settings (in the top menu) and here you can resize it.
It will solve this cropped problem.
If you have any further question please feel free to ask
no, the elements is imported with the previous size. I mean for the Bob, since the original eye is small (123×118), when I change to the bigger eyes, the AE still crop the same size for the new layer (hence it got cropped). The composition size is big enough, but the imported layer is too small for the new image. Check this.. http://postimg.org/image/n5b7vx155/
Hmm, really strange. Please try to you reload this Photoshop layer in the footages folder: 00_Footages/001_Imported_PSD/right_eye_base1 – right click on it, and “replace footage” than select the imported PSD file in the pop up window. Then you can find between the the PSD file layers the right_eye_base1 in the drop down menu. I hope it will help
It’s worked, thank you
super, thank you for your feedback, I will look why it didn’t update properly!
Hello, how to copy the animation between different template? For example I create new animation in bob template and I want to copy the animation to the monster one
If you use the “__Rig” After Effects Project file you can just import this AEP file with “File – Import” into the another AEP.
If you use the “__Animation” first I recommend you to render the animation to an uncompressed AVI or MOV file, then import this into the Monster one.
Not the character itself, just the animation. I want the monster to be animated with the new animation I created for Bob since the structure should be the same
I found a solution:
Unfortunately you need to do this layer by layer:
select the keyframes you animated (only on one layer) then
“Animation – Save Animation Preset”
name it like “Shoulder_Rotation”
Do this again with all layer that are animated. This process will generate .FFX files.
Open the another AEP file:
Select the same layers one by one and add the animation presets:
“Animation – Apply Animation Preset”
Don’t forget to stand in the 000 frame in the timeline.
If you need to copy keyframes from “_Face_Parts_Controller”, “_Body_Parts_Controller”, or “_Arms_and_Legs” you can do the same just when you want to apply the preset, first you need to select the sliders which are animated:
then “Apply Animation Preset”
That seems takes too much time, is there a way to change the proportion of the body size? for example make bob leg shorter (chibi proportion) The animation become weird when I do this
Yes you can change the proportion. You can see the solution in the Videotutorials also:
Design your characters leg in Photoshop. Then in After Effects both in “_Left_Leg_States” and “_Right_Leg_States” scale your character’s leg vertical to be between the two Anchor Points.
Some cases for example when your leg is small you need to distort it. Don’t be afraid just do it!
When you are ready with scaling in “000_Start_Position__Bob / _Arms_and_Legs” change the “Left_Leg_Strech” and “Right_Leg_Stretch” to offset the previous scaling.
For example:
If you scaled your character’s right leg in the “_Right_Leg_States” to 100,150% offset it in the “Right_Leg_Stretch with the value - 250 or more.
Got it! it worked, thank you again. It’s really nice template!

nice animation! Best wishes!
Thanks my friend! Same to you!
Nice tool, might use it one day.
Thank you, I hope so!
What does mean (zoom ready)? Means that if the Project is 2800×2600 I can put it in a FullHD Comp and resize it only as it gets?
Hy exploqii,
It means the character parts with the rigging system are in a Composition which is 2800×2600 pixel wide. So you can zoom in to the scene without decrease the quality (for example if you want to zoom to your character’s head)
You are right, you can put it in a Full HD comp and resize (about 45%).
but to zoom to the head would be more than 45%, or not?
The animations are created in 2600×2800px compositions. If you want to place them to a 1920×1080px composition, you need scale it down to about 45%. Than you can to zoom to the head to scale it up to 100% (or 110%). This is a 2.3x scale ratio.
Could I answer your question?
Please feel free to ask if you need any further information.
yes thank you!
