The preview track of the music is included in the file, so to replace it with the purchased track, import it into your bin and while the preview is selected on the timeline drag the new track on top of it while holding Option to replace.

The render time depends on the processor speed and RAM . 3 hours is a bit long, but not completely unexpected. I average about an hour. It’s full resolution in 32-bit color, so it’s a beast to render.

My favorites are Creative Cow and TutsPlus. You should be able to open the file directly in CS 5 .5, though I haven’t tried that version. If you need any specific help with how the template is built, please let me know by email. Thanks!

It’s possible, but the template is not set up for that kind of customization. The ‘web’ objects are parented to a null that contains the master rotation information. It’s possible if you’re comfortable modifying that.

You’ll need After Effects versions CS3 or higher.

There is an instruction file included in the download, but it will require basic knowledge of After Effects to customize. I offer customization if you need. Send me an email if you’re interested.

The folders mentioned in the instructions are folders in the Project tab of the After Effects file, not folders in the zip file. Within those folders are comps for color and text settings.

For compatibility (if you’re embedding the video on its own or sending it to others), I like to use MPEG -2 at half HD resolution and about 60-75% quality (or higher if you can spare the file size). For a smaller file size, use h.264 in a similar way.

The version of the song I used is the 2:36 long version. It’s linked in the description. I used the longer one because it took longer to build, and I liked the slow acoustic guitar at the start. I didn’t use any edits in the preview version. It starts at the beginning of the track and runs the duration of the animation and fades out.

The template isn’t set up for quick additions to each line, but it’s certainly possible. It’s relatively well-organized. The best way would probably be to duplicate another line, reposition it, swap out the icon and re-parent it to the master null. Let me know and I’ll be glad to help you out with that.
