I am very interested in purchasing the project but I have a major question. How many pages can I customize in the book in Cinema 4D? Also can I turn the pages one by one? Thanks!
Hello, unfortunately you can change pages only when book is close, (as you can see in the preview). But with this way you can do as many pages, as you need. (Of course if you have some skills in Cinema 4D)

No, pages can to change only when you closed book, after you close book, you can change page and then open book again. You can’t turn the page-by-page.

Hi Alex, I have few pre-sale questions if you don’t mind: 1) Am I able to edit those c4d files in C4D Lite (the version that comes with After Effects CC) without loosing any functionality (like pre-defined camera movement, materials, lighting setup)? This is most important for me, knowing this. 2) You said one can change the pages only via closing/reopening the book. So it isn’t just linking jpegs with “Page 1 material” so to say?

Hello, 1. In this project i use some Mograph effects. As i know in Lite version Mograph is not included. But better if you write to http://www.maxon.net and ask there. You need to have in your version installed xpresso and mograph module. Without it this project does not work correct. 2. For change pages you need just point the way to new materials, but only in these two project that you can see in preview. In order to add new ones, you need to have skills in the program.
Thank you for quick response. 1. There is Xpresso in C4d Lite but it does not include the Python Node. Would it be a problem? Mograph for Lite includes Fracture Object, Plain and Random Effectors + Effectors for Position, Scale, Rotation, Color, Time using Falloff, Shader, Random, Formula, Delay, C.O.F.F.E.E., Python, Inheritance, Sound, Spline, Step, Target, Time or Volume effectors. Is your project using something else from Mograph?
Without Python Node project will work correct , but i used mograph cloner object, that you are not say. Unfortunately without it it does not work correct.

Very very disappointed. I fell in love with this and wanted to use it for a splash page for my website. It said it could be used with C5.5, and everything looked okay. So my guy who does my stuff gave me the green light to buy it. Turns out, once he opened the file and started to work on it, there is some $1500 (that’s the lowest price) software needed in addition that wasn’t mentioned on the site. So I purchased this file for nothing and this site doesn’t give refunds. I am very disappointed. It shouldn’t have to be this hard. Nice product, but that and $5 will get me a cup of coffee. Thanks for nothing.

Looks like a cool project! Out of curiosity, how much knowladge of Cinema 4D would you say is required to manipulate the book? I’m working on a pop-up animation project at the moment. I’ve already made the pop-up creations but I’m looking for a 3D book that I can easily bring into After Effects and have open and close (we’ve got about 8 page turns total). Having something in Cinema 4D would make it easier to adjust the camera angle in after effects (so we can open the book then zoom into the pop-ups). Also, is there any issues with using this book (the Cin4D model) in a 1080p project (rather than 720p?) Thanks!
Hello. I think it’s easy, but you should have some skill in Cinema 4D to do camera animation, render etc. My book has expreso menu, so to change some parts (for example open the book, bend the pages or the thickness of the book) you need only select book and you’ll see all settings in the Attributes window. But you should know that you can change pages only if you close the book and then open it again.

Hi Alex… VERY NICE BOOK! My boss bought this for me to manipulate and I was wondering… is it possible in the c4d file to animate individual pages at a time like 1 page turning to the next? I have a narration that is happening in which cas I need to turn the page of the book only 3 times… ANY and all help is very appreciated!

Hello. You can turn the pages only if you closed book, and then opening it again. Also, if you are good at CINEMA 4D you can remove the Xpresso tag and try manually turn the pages.
