Hello Thomas, I’m interested in using the video awards show for an upcoming recording as advertisement.. I’m new @ this and need help on what to do a little. First question is it something that I just download and begin to put in my own text and footage? And to get my video to look right is there anything else I need outside of the $32 License fee? Wilbur..

Hi Wilbur,

First off, in order to open the project file you will need Adobe After Effects. They have a subscription model now, but you can download a trial version and learn with that before purchasing the subscription.

The project is set up so that yes, all you would have to do is replace the text and images, but a general knowledge of After Effects is recommended. I have detailed video tutorials that cover how to edit the project file, but I don’t go over general After Effects knowlege subjects like how to edit the timeline or export the project file for example.

After you purchase the project, if you have any questions and can’t find your answer in the tutorials I am more than happy to help out. Just send me a message on my author profile page with whatever you’re stuck on.

I hope this helps, if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Excellent support!! Nothing shy of a spectacular project. Well done Thomas.

Thank you very much!

Hi Thomas, great product. Having a problem though. In the “4 Screen” folder, the project currently holds 5 “4 Screen” compositions. I need 6 so I duplicated one of the compositions and renamed it to “4 Screen 6”. Also added “4 Screen 6 Comps”. Problem arises that the “new” comps are not updated with the different materials. Any advice how I can create a new “4 Screen” composition? Thanks.

Hello!

Great, I’m glad you are enjoying the project.

No problem, you are very close! I’m guessing you duplicated the folder “4 Screen 5 Comps”. To keep it organized, I would rename that folder “4 Screen 6 Comps” and rename every single comp within that folder “4 Screen xxx xxxx 6” instead of 5.

Then the last step would be to open up your new “4 Screen 6” comp and replace all the “4 Screen xxx xxxx 5” with your newly created “4 Screen xxx xxx 6” comps via having the layer highlighted in the Project panel and also in the Timeline panel, holding option (on a Mac, it’s either Control or Alt on PC) and dragging the new file in the Project panel onto the old file in the Timeline pane and release to replace it.

Repeat that for all the comps and you should be set!

Let me know if you get it. If you’re having difficulty I’d be happy to take a look at your project file and update it for you.

Thanks!

Hi Thomas: What’s the easiest way to remove the golden overlay and bokeh effects? The golden haze is washing out my content.

Great template! Thanks in advance.

Hello, the easiest way to remove the overlay would be to check the eye icon on the far left side of the timeline panel to disable them. You could also lower the opacity by hitting “T” when the bokeh layer is highlighted in the timeline panel then drag the slider down from 100% to a lower number to minimize the effect as well.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

hi support, I have bought another award show video (http://videohive.net/item/awards-show/11309872). Earlier i though it belongs to the same creator, but seems that its not.

If you could advice, what is the difference in terms of the function between your video (8206637) & (11309872)?

I have not yet received support answer from the other template, but i was hoping if you could offer me some help here.

Using Award Show 11309872, I am having problem with the placeholder lower third. The tempalte ONLY come with 2 placeholders. I want to use that design for more than 2 placeholders, but cant find out how to do so.

Would this be the same case for your video? Could you guide me on how to duplicate the available placeholder to make more of them using After Effect?

Would greatly appreaciate your response as i’m a beginner.

Hello,

I can understand the confusion. I can’t speak on behalf of the other authors on Videohive, only myself, but I try very hard to get back to all my customers in a timely manner – almost always the same business day, if I’m at my computer immediately.

My project has 5 placeholder comps for the 2 screen modules, so a total of 10 placeholders set up.

You can easily create more placeholders though, and I go over in the video tutorials how to edit the project, duplicate comps and set up additional modular elements.

If you are still having trouble understanding how to duplicate the comps and create additional ones, I would be happy to create a custom AE project file that has the amount of 2 screen modules you are looking for.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me anytime!

hi thomas, yes i would love to have that custom AE project file that has the amount of 2 screen modules.. i cant find your tutorial.. those tutorial would be really helpful for beginners like me.. really appreciate if you could share that with me..

I don’t see a “Purchased” beside your username, are you referring to the other project you purchased already? If so, that project is by a completely different author on Videohive, and you will have to contact him for support, as I don’t offer support for other authors projects.

You will have to purchase my project in order to receive the project files or view the tutorials that come with my project.

How do you switch out Museo sans for Google Open font? In the tutorial you say if yyou dont have Museo use Open. How?

Hello,

Unfortunately there isn’t a global way to replace all the fonts for you in a project.

AE works like Photoshop, when there is a missing font, it will still show the original font in its original, saved form, but when you try to customize the type, it will replace it with a font you have on your computer – that’s where you would use Open Sans or whatever other font you would like.

A quick Google search lead me to this (paid) script, which looks like it would replace all the fonts in the project, but it’s not necessary in my opinion: http://aescripts.com/pt_textedit/

I would just ignore the missing fonts dialog when you open the project and edit the modules you want to use, then when you go to edit the text, in the “Character” UI panel, just select Open Sans from the dropdown.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions feel free to contact me anytime.

Hi Thomas! Amazing work on this—the tutorial videos helped me immeasurably, since I’ve never used After Effects before. This was money well spent for me. I think my presentation will turn out better that I could have expected, so thank you!!

I was wondering if you had any suggestions about how to set up a video file that runs about 40 seconds or even all the way up to 1.5 minutes? I’ll probably take a stab at it on my own tonight but any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Hello,

Awesome, I’m glad it’s working out so well for you!

I’m happy to help, but would need a little more information from you about what you’re looking for – for example, what elements are you looking to have in that 40 to 90 seconds? Do you want it to loop? Are you wondering about how to set up the render or best render settings?

It would probably be a bit easier to start a conversation from my author profile page on the right hand side, that goes directly to my email so I can go into more detail on any of your questions!

Thanks, talk to you soon!

Excellent project! :)

Thank you!

Hi, really like it, great job!

One question I am hoping to use this for a music concert/awards ceremony. I have 5 artists I would like to display with their album covers using your Multiple Screen function, unfortunately it seems you only have a max of 4 on the screen at once, is there any way to re-arrange these to showcase 5?

Look forward to hearing from you, many thanks!

Hello, and thank you!

Although it’s not set up to display 5, you could pretty easily add a 5th one in the center. The only issue would be if you want to display them in a sequential order, it would be difficult to not have the centered one look showcased. If they all come in at the same time though I don’t think that would be an issue.

If you decide to purchase the project and want help setting that up, just reach out to me on my author profile page on the right hand side and I’ll walk you through some steps to get that set up!

Thanks!

Hello Thomas, i am interested buying your template now can please tell me the difference between Regular and Extended Version????

Hello,

If you are referring to the regular and extended version of the “Slideshow” and “Intro” comps within the Awards Show project, the extended versions hold on the different text/image placeholders for a little bit longer, extending the entire length of the modular element.

If you are referring to Regular and Extended licenses from Envato, shoot me an email on my author profile page and I can go into more detail and provide links for you.

If there is anything else I can help with, please feel free to message me here or on my author profile page on the right hand side!

Hello Thomas, I just bought your template but i can’t download it.. I try to contact the support on video hive, but nobody answer. Can you help me to solve this problem, because i really need it to work today for a customer.

Many thanks

sorry Thomas, everything is good now.

Hello, I’m sorry I didn’t see your message earlier, but I’m glad you got it working!

If you need anything else, feel free to message me anytime.

Very impressive work Thomas, I’m new here @ VideoHive and would like to know before I buy it, looping means I can extend the Title, Placeholder, Lower Thirds & Screens to the length I want, is it correct!! I read the disruption and the comments and I understand that I can customise the colour and fonts and the effects is pre-runderd. Although it is a nice and wonderful Music, would you recommend something that is not loud that could match this particular project.

Hello, thank you very much! Looping in this context means that an element begins and ends in sync, so you can place multiple instances of the modular element back to back, extending the scene for as long as you’d like. For example, the slideshow has 4 placeholders per loop, so you can add a second placeholder and it will extend it to 8 total placeholders, and this can be done as many times as you’d like!

I don’t have any specific recomendations on music, I would check out Audiojungle, searching for something within a cinematic category.

I hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask or message me on my author profile page on the right hand side!

Just want to make sure before I purchase this. I can place any picture in the template right? I want to make this into a sponsorship video and add a spanish flamenco theme with pictures of carnations and flamenco dancers.

Yes, you can absolutely change any of the image placeholders with your own images or videos, and change any of the text placeholders with your own text and font choice!

If you have any other questions, please feel free to message me!

cool! thanks!

is the font changeable?

Yes, you can change the font to any one you wish!

Realy good job!!!

Thank you!
