I think this project is quite nice, but I would REALLY be impressed if the spinning objects were not paper thin, but had some depth to them, like pieces of stone circles. Is there any way you could make a project like that?

Make it look more like ancient pieces of stone that you would find in “indiana jones” or “mortal combat” or “the secret”

that would make this project look 10 times more spectacular in my mind. And I would be your first buyer of the newer version.

Word on the street is that those things have been around for a while.

Why not accuse the person who created the tutorial you pointed out as having stolen his idea from that? Ridiculous really.

Inlifethrill has something YOU apparently lack.

Creativity.

No one person has a monopoly on ideas. Ideas are floating around for anyone who’s open minded to grab. It’s the execution of those ideas by creative individuals that add to the lives of the less creative and open minded or those who don’t have the skills to implement an idea even if it does occur to them.

And for arguments sake, let’s say that Mr. Inlifethrill (aka someone who obviously makes you feel inferior) actually did base his project off that particular tutorial. Doubtful.

I’d say that his project file was even more impressive because he managed to innovate the concept of that tutorial further whereas most people simply blatantly copy a tutorial and try to pass it off as their own. Even if he started with that tutorial (which I don’t believe he did; look at his other projects), what he ended up with was quite different and required a fair bit of skill and intimate knowledge of After Effects to pull off.

Do I know Inlifethrill?

No, but what ticks me off with a capital P more than anything is someone who is clearly uncreative, criticizing someone who clearly is instead of doing something as productive as the person you’re trying to drag down or somehow expose.

c_victor, I’ll give you one guess what my vote is.

To Inlifethrill,

Keep doing your thing man and remember, if you aren’t doing anything worth criticizing then you probably aren’t doing anything worth mentioning either.

P.S 2c_victor: First of all I do not know what your intention is by comparing two different work with similar (kind of similar) transition!

it is like I say to a colleague and I accuse him for using a Fade-out (Cross Dissolve) Transition in his project and I claim that i used it first ?! Well, All of these extra tools such as transitions and effects are part of this work and the whole point is the innovate ideas and creativity, that is what makes some people like InlifeThrill different than some! or we have many other great Authors here that their work is brilliant because their idea and creativity is brilliant! Otherwise everybody might have AE CS3 ,4,5 but not everyone can come up with brilliant project

Looks cool. Really does remind me of Matt Runks tutorial. Probably because its a uncommon design effect. However I see a lot of projects on here based of tutorials so no need to single out the guy.

I say good job I like the direction you took it in and I like the universal aspect of it which doesn’t limit it to just one use. Good Job. Best of luck
