I was born in the Netherlands in 1949 and moved to South Africa with my family in 1951. I grew up in the industrial and mining town of Springs, where my deep love for Africa and its incredible wildlife first took root.
In 1972, I relocated to the Lowveld region of what was then Eastern Transvaal (now Mpumalanga), near the world-renowned Kruger National Park. This proximity to such a rich and diverse natural environment inspired my passion for wildlife videography.
Today, my wife Barbara and I work as a team capturing the beauty of the African wilderness. Barbara handles the driving while I film from the back seat, allowing us to record moments of raw, untamed nature. I edit our footage using Adobe Premiere Pro, and my work is available on several leading stock footage platforms.
Whether it’s a pride of lions on the hunt or a quiet sunrise over the savanna, I strive to capture the enchantment of Africa and share it with the world through my lens. .
