Hi there, we just bought the template but we’re unable to open it on Mac OS (running AE 2017), when clicking on the AE file we get a prompt that the file is formated for Windows. Does this make any sense? and if so how to fix this because the result is all layers merged. Thank you.
The error we get is “This project must be converted from version 10.0 (Windows 64). The original file will be unchanged”. When clicking on “OK” then all layers are merged and there’s nothing we can do.

That didn’t work, the problem is that you seem to be using an older version of AE, so when we open the file it’s already converted and layered, there’s nothing we can do about it.
As far as I know, this is the notification that when saving, the file can no longer be opened in an earlier version of After Effects. Described in more detail in this thread Adobe forum https://forums.adobe.com/thread/735969
No this notification shows up when opening the file, you’re running an older version of AE, we’re running 2017 hence the error message we’re receiving.
Also the message we’re receiving (as per my previous comment) is different than what is in the thread post you linked to. Two unrelated issues.
Yes, but all the older versions are easily opened in cc.2017. I recorded for you a video in which this project opens in cc.2017 https://yadi.sk/d/IXdMKvvX3MTce3 . You just need to save the project and open it.

Ok.. after replicating what you did that froze the playback for us.. could be because we’re on OS X 64… don’t have a Windows machine

Hello! Unfortunately in this project there is no option for disabling lines. But if you have the skills to work in After Effects, you can reduce the lines as shown in these videos.
Alternatively, you can just change the color of the lines (see screenshot), so that they merge in color with the footage and are less noticeable.
Hello, I purchased your AE file and love it. But I was having issues with the length of each clip – which I saw above you shared a video of how to make it longer. Thank you! another problem I have is it looks like all the videos are sped up and they are not playing real time to the actual video I’m using for media. Can you please tell me how to play it normal speed? I’d love to play it normal speed for the total duration of the original footage. Thank you for your help!

Yes I already saw that video, thank you and sorry for the confusion because I refrenced it in my comment. I would love to know how to play my media in real time – it seems that the mirror effect speeds up all the clips (not just the duration is small which you show in the video how to make longer) but the actual clips seem like they are not 100% play back time but maybe something like 150%? Am I right, it all seems really fast – it’s especially important to me because the person in my video is singing and it needs to be true to time and the voice. Thank you for your help!
