Unable to edit without Element 3D – which is noted in the description. But is there a way to get a free trial of the required plugin?

There is no free version of the Element 3D plugin. This is a must-have plugin for After Effects. You can purchase the plugin from videocopilot.net, or I can customize the template for you.
