These packs are so finely tuned that if you don’t have the exact version required then you can pretty much bet that it wont look right. Later this year the pack will be updated to require the latest version of Trapcode Particular V6

Thanks.. Red Giant has pretty much priced their Products to high for most of us. I wont be upgrading. I’ll have to pass. Thanks again.. It was a great solution, too bad it wont work with what I have.

As for a full length tutorial we haven’t made one for this pack, there are a lot a Trapcode Particular tutorials on our YouTube channel CG Visuals #VFX. The projects in the pack you downloaded have a camera and a control gizmo so you can set up a shot without needing much of an understanding of Particular, but if you run into any issues just reach out to me at zack.cgvisuals@gmail.com

That’s a full blown fluid simulation, it’s interesting I might look into it when I have time to see if something like that is even possible with Trapcode Particular. But in the current build there isn’t anything close to what you showed me. If you have other ideas or visual references send them too, thanks.

Hi, You must have Trapcode Particular version 3 otherwise nothing will work.

I got the trial version of the plug-in form Red Giant. Do you think that would work?

As long as you have Trapcode Particular V3 installed and you can access it in After Effects then yes.

The projects are limited to 1080p, to get 4k you would need to create a new composition at 4K then create a new solid and apply Trapcode Particular. You could then copy the 1080p version of Trapcode effect to override the settings in the 4K project, that might work but some stuff might not look as intended. The rendering time would be exponentially higher and the interactivity would be reduced. However, the benefit of having a simulation with a camera is that you can just frame the effect to fit the shot which eliminates the need for massive 4K assets. We are planning on upgrading this pack in the near future, so your welcome to leave feedback.
