Sorry to hear your having issues, the projects need to be opened in CC 2018 on an English version of After Effects because the expressions are not universal.

I’m in the process of updating all of the After Effects projects over the next couple of months. This will only work if you already have Trapcode Particular V4.1.5 installed with CC 2018 to CC 2020. Which isn’t ideal at the moment because you can’t actual buy Particular V4.1.5 anymore. I’ll let everyone know when the products are compatible with the new versions of those softwares, thanks.

I would actually just use the camera to rotate the flare into the correct position and pre-render a bunch of custom assets to use in compositing. You can render them from any perspective, customise the shape and pattern of the flare. I would also animate the opacity in comp so the flare is only visible on some frames.

The missile is controlled by the locator null object, if you hit (P) on the layer it will bring up the position controls. Then you can animate the movement by creating two or more key frames. You can also change the camera position or create a new camera for your shot.

Sorry for the late reply. I think your having the same issue, it’s very easy to fix in just a couple of steps. If I updated the project to an earlier version then someone with a later version would have the same issue. Hi – I just realized the error has nothing to do with the project working or not work (it will work with an out of date version of trapcode). The issue was related to Quicktime on my machine. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the help. The project looks amazing and I would recommend people buy it =)
