Hi. Yes you can use videos. But perfect would be use up to 10 second videos. If you have longer you should play with time remapping of the fog and optical flares footages inside scenes… If you need more scenes there are small trick. Just open this project and after import itself inside opened AE. Then copy all scenes from one main comp to another and delete empty main comp.
