Is Mondo a font, that get’s installed and I then animate? Or is it all animated using AE? I love the Mondo style, but wondering if it would also work in Adobe Illustrator too. This way, if we create an animated brand on video, my client could also extend the branding from the video to their event’s printed materials.

Hi helloengage, this isnt a traditional font that gets installed. The animated typeface uses imported Photoshop files. So if you buy it you will have both the Photoshop artwork (PSDs) and the animated characters in After Effects.

Thanks Rob! The only difference is that ‘Mondo Plus’ comes with two opening sequence templates. ‘Mondo’ is just the typeface.
Hi! I got the Mondo package but didn’t realize it came without the pan over template and have noticed you now have this as a separate plus package. Please could you offer an upgrade package? so people who have already purchased the font can add the template as well (rather than buying it all again)

Hey Jezzer – Thankyou for purchasing Mondo I understand where you are coming from and will look into how I could potentially offer an upgrade to buyers like yourself. With that said, even though Mondo is included in the new item, there is still a lot of value in buying it again just for the template.

I agree it’s still good value if I bought the plus 1 just to get the template – but I’ll feel that I’ve spent $12 unnecessarily, so an upgrade option would really make sense.

This animated typeface uses imported Photoshop files. So if you buy this version, you will have both the Photoshop artwork (PSDs) and the animated characters in After Effects. But please note that the Photoshop files are just layered artwork – not an actual font that you can install. Hope this answers your question

Hi! There is no typeface on your link. A second question: Can I create a white “Mondo” type on a black background?
It’s a flash site that takes a while to load.. if you wait for a bit, it should come up. This is a third-party typeface that I personally use and can’t really offer any support on. As far as putting Mondo on a black background – send me an email from my profile page and I will help you out

Hey Rusteen, welcome to the Hive! If you buy Mondo, you’re basically buying a detailed animated typeface. Unfortunately you don’t get the AE scenes I created to make the preview (although I hope to have a project out next week which comes with both Mondo and this AE project).
