Of course you can. You can do it this way: 1. Go into the Designation_01 Comp. 2. Hide the layer 2 (Designation_Background) 3. Unhide the layer 1 (Designation)

You can get the text in solid colour instead of transparent.

Hi jenusjazz, thanks for your reply. That does change the font colour, but removes the designation background. I would like to keep the background colour on designation, but force the Designation text to white instead of transparent. Hopefully you have a suggestion. Thanks!

Sorry for my late response.

Here are the steps:

1. In the “lowerThird_01_EditHere”, select the “Designation_01” layer and close the effects in the “effect control tab”. (There is a small fx word beside the effects, you can turn it off by clicking that.)

2. Double click and go into the “Designation_01” comp, make the “Designation” layer visible.

3. At the Designation_Background layer, close the track matte from “Alpha Inverted matte “Designation”” to No Track Matte.(If you cant see it, press F4 to change and view it.)

4. Select the designation layer and choose the color you want, as well as the Designation_Background.

Note: Now, the effect are unlink to the control layer. If you need to change the color, you need to go into the comp and change the color inside.
