Hello Ian,

Thanks for your purchase! To create a perfectly white background, all you have to do is turn off several layers within the “logocells_MASTER” composition.

Also, you’ll have to disable the Ramp Effect on the “bkgd” layer 16, which you can do by clicking on it, pressing the “E” key, and toggling off the little fx icon (or deleting the effect).

I’ve created a screenshot to show you what the timeline should look like:

As for render times, since you’re disabling many of the design features, the time should decrease. However, 4GB or RAM is considered the bare minimum when it comes to rendering in After Effects. Also, depending on which version of AE you’re using, render times will differ. For example, the project should render quicker in CS6 vs CS3.

Ok, here’s how to link the file:

1. In the AE project, navigate to the “logo_cells” folder by following this path: “Don’t Change These Comps” > “Assets” > “logo_cells”

2. Click once to highlight the first file listed, which should be called “Layer 2/logo_cells.ai”

3. Right-click on the layer, and when the dialog box pops up, choose Replace Footage > File

4. Navigate to the “(Footage)” folder that came with the project files to the Adobe Illustrator file named “logo_cells.ai”. Once you’ve found it, click “Open”.

This should automatically update the remaining layers in the project file. If that does not work, please email me directly at tyson (at) motionrevolver.com

The reason you’re missing those files is because After Effects isn’t linking to the missing file correctly. From what it sounds, you’re missing the “logo_cells.ai” file. You’ll have relink to that file, which can be found in the “(Footage)” folder that came inside of the ZIP file that you downloaded.

Inside of the AE project, navigate to the file called “logo_cells.ai”. Click once on it, and hit command+H. When the dialog box appears, find the “logo_cells.ai” file within the “(Footage)” folder on your computer, and click on the file. Click “open” and all of the layers should automatically update.
