how do you install this in Fcpx?

Hi and thank you for buying,

My lower thirds are rendered video files aimed to video editors and it is easy to use them if you are familiar with a video editing software like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut etc. Here are some instructions on how to use one of my lower third: 1. Download the lower third, you will get a rendered mov file on transparent background – alpha channel 2. Import the lower third video file into your video editing application project. For some editing apps like Sony Vegas, you will have to manually activate the alpha channel. 3. Drag it to the timeline, overlay your video, on another video track/layer 4. Scale the lower third clip to match your sequence/project settings (original is 1920×1080) 5. Add some text layers in the timeline, place them above the lower third clip, with the integrated text generator of the editing software, using the fonts you like. I can also indicate the fonts I used in the previews on VideoHive. 6. Add a transition (usually fade out) to the end of the lower third clip and to the text layers clips

Please feel free to ask if you need further info. If you like my lower third, please take a moment to rate.

Regards DarkRoom

okay, great but old

I am a beginner and not very techy. Can I easily use this one in Final cut pro ? Like we use pre populated lower thirds in FCP?

I bought this lower thirds and imported to the Tricaster HD-4 and has a black background. I want the background to be transparent. Something is wrong. The Tricaster works with Windows 7.

I am not familiar with Tricaster but I know that there are some video applications where you have to enable the alpha channel manually.

Nice one! Feel free to listen to some of my music.

Thank you!

You’re doing impressive! Wish you even more success!

Thank you!

Love that the demo video is of Seattle!

Thank you!

sorry im a rockie in this, can i edit this file with photoshop???

A video editing software like Premiere, Aftereffects, Final Cut, Vegas etc. would be more suitble to use with this file.

Hi, the download keeps getting stuck every time I download it! This is the 6th attempt. Keep getting network error after going through 200+ MB. Any alternative download site or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

How do I add text as shown in video (“light lower third – quicktime movie with alpha channel)? Thx!

Please contact me using PM system.

Do you have a tutorial or know of a tutorial to incorporate this into adobe premiere pro? If so, I will def. buy as I have not delved into lower thirds yet.

There are some simple steps. If you are familiar with Premiere I can instruct you on how to do it. Please contact me using the PM system.

Thank you miseld!

Everything worked perfectly in Final Cut Pro X!

I’m glad to hear that. Thanks!

There are awesome, I just purchased them the other day.

Thank you!

Thanks Man. Great Support

Are you sure they are rendered as transparent background? I tried using one of your lower thirds in a video and it all turns out black. I use Vegas pro 10

100% sure!
Sony Vegas doesn’t recognize the transparency automatically. You have to enable alpha channels for the imported lower third movie. Watch this tutorial to learn how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp44lmXFboc

I purchased this and other lower thirds mov files, but everything has a black background. I want the background to be transparent. I used Adobe Media Encoder to export to an flv file. The I imported to CS4 Flash using the embed within timeline option. When I preview in flash or export, it still has a black screen. Hopefully ‘Darkroom’ can give clear instructions how to make the mov transparent. Only the mov file downloads, again with black backgrounds. Can ANYBODY help? Thanks!

Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Quicktime X, CS4 Master Suite

Hi My lower thirds are all rendered as mov with alpha channel and are all on transparent background. When you converted the file to flv, you lose the transparency information, which became black. You have to make these adjustments in Adobe Media Encoder in order to export FLV with transparency enabled: - select flv in the Format Tab - select “Encode Alpha Channel” in the Video tab Thanks for buying.
