can this be used in a basic video editing program like powerdirector 11 or does it have to be used in AE ?
Sorry but I do not know powerdirector 11. This package can also be used in programs in which the intended work with video layers and alpha channels.

You can use the mov-files in any video editor using different variants of the overlay. Alpha channel is used to help with blending mode – Normal. The bonus project file was made in Adobe After Effect CS4 .
