Ah, perfect! I had tried going through and ‘soloing’ each layer in order to see where the grid might be, but somehow hadn’t found it. Maybe because After Effects took a few moments to process making changes to that grid layer.

Anyway, that worked! I really appreciate your quick response, and the inclusion of the image to make things simple for an After Effects beginner like me.
